Puzzling - are you sure you mean a Yonex Dual G 100? I have a Dual G 100 and I can’t see how it’s like the Pro. It’s only 300g, feels firm (boardy if strung above 48), and is in no way hollow. Different string pattern too. It’s not like the Tour or MP either - I have played these a fair amount. Though you could consider the MP to perform like a more flexible and slightly lower powered Dual G 100 in my experience. Not convinced about the MP but the Tour is great - much more solid and stable than the MP. Add a smiley button string dampener and it’s good to go. Considering getting one. (If I can only decide between it and the new Ezone)

i used to play the Duel Gs (97 and 100) in 16x19 (skipped the top cross), and in the mid 40s with lead at 6&9. Afaicr, the dg100 was too light to play stock (as the dg97 310 as well), but lead and low tension made these frames really nice ime.
There aren’t that many 100 sq inch 20 mm frames on the market, so comparisons are not easy :)

But the GPro is like 330g version of the VCpro/DG100 with better feel. I’m guessing it’s also similar to older radicals.

Ah, I see what you mean. Used to play the Microgel Radical Tour which was solid and great feel but too much sw for me!

The Tour and the TF40 have been two of the best 22sh mm beam rackets I’ve played with this year. The other two have been the V7 Blade 98 and the Pure Strike 100.

The Tour is softer than the TF40, plays plush with a little bit of hollowness and can be, dep on actual specs and qc, a bit sluggish. Great allrounder.

The TF40 is super solid, but in no way uncomfortable. With the right setup, esp reg strings, it has a similar (but not identical) plushness upon impact as the IG Prestige and PT 2.0 when you make solid contact with the ball in the sweet zone. It has a lowish ball trajectory and can also be on the sluggish side. Fantastic for attacking tennis.

There aren’t many rackets I’d buy again, but the TF40 is one of them.

Im using Gravity MP with Head leather grip, 2gr on 12 o'clock, overall 327gr strung. Strings Babolat VS Touch 1.30mm in mains and Wilson revolve 1.25 in crosses. Never played better in my life with any other racquet. The feel and touch of this combination is amazing, im playing much more variety with my shots. Power isnt huge but if i need power i swing faster and its there. I got atleast 30h of strings and i think its best combination for recreational players under 5.0.

Our club opened up yesterday and finally things starting to feel a bit more normal in the world again. Been playing outside here and there on the few courts we could find that were open and when the weather would cooperate (rarely). So nice to be able to count on playing no matter the weather. I think playing outside thoug has improved my play even though I've been playing a lot less. Having to deal with changing light, shadows, wind, distractions, court imperfections, sun, and open sky has certainly improved my judgement of the ball... and most importantly my footwork. I strung my GPro up with Luxilon 1.25 4G Rough at 46lbs on a whim before I went out to play. Wow, it felt awesome. Great spin, control, feel... I was crushing the ball. Reminded me of when I first demoed this racquet and I felt like I could do anything. I've been dabbling with some other racquets that play easier, but I can't find anything that feels as good or plays as good as the GPro when I'm on. This thing can feel like a magical wand... it's not always that way, but that's a user error issue.

I've really only played with multi's in this... tried a poly or two but wasn't crazy about them. 4G rough at 46lbs, full bed... was money.

Been using Gravity Pro as my main racquet since it came out, still my favourite, even though i buy and try all the new gen stuff im interested in for fun - i am picking up a gravity tour soon, ill let you know how that goes

Hey, just wondering - did you get the Tour in the end? If so, would be great to hear how it went.

My only gripe with the Gravity Tour is spin production. Been using multis as I recover from tennis elbow, so that's probably part of the problem though.

As an aggressive baseliner, I love how maneuverable it is, both for fast racquet head speed for ground strokes, as well as finishing off the point at the net

I got a chance to demo the head gravity pro. I think head got this stick right. Very nice stick. Comfy. Big sweet spot. I’m not an 18x20 guy but with the 100 inch head and round shape it works great. Nice flex. Nice sound when you hit it. Thin beam too. I thought it was good for ground strokes and serves. Volleys I simply prefer smaller heads.
I think this racket is 10 times nicer than the new prestige Midplus. Man I hated that racket.

so why am I not switching? I still like my Volkl T10MP and I just can’t commit to 100 inch rackets and specifically to the rounded lollipop shape. Bravo to head on this stick, I can see a ton of people enjoying it.

Saw on another thread that the Gravity is getting new colors for 2021. Is anything changing besides the color scheme.

in the removed by now catalog, they were talking something about new flex technology.
however I am not sure if that means new lay-up or simply bringing into attention something that wasn't discussed yet
Probably the graphemes 360+.

but Gravity is already based on the 360+, isn't it?
it is the Radical line that waits the 360+ update
Yup, I checked the catalog yesterday and it still said 360+ for the gravity, maybe the gravity is only a PJ update?

given that it is so fresh, I would expect only a paint job update.
but that line about some new flex technology might have a different meaning.

either way, I'm ready to stock up on current Gravity if it goes on sale due to new PJ or updated tech.

can you please answer my question?
with which rackets following pro players are competing:
A Zverev
A Rublev
A Barty
From what I've gleaned, I think Zverev and Barty are only endorsing the gravity line, still using older models. However, I do think Rublev at one point was using a blacked-out Gravity early in the year. Not sure if he was testing or using blacked out version before signing a contract. But I did see chatter talking about the tear drop head shape.

Iirc, someone on the original Head 2021 thread posted about a slight change to the GPro mold (albeit there's nothing mentioned about this in the catalogue).

I think they were corrected or shown side by side pics.. the question was grommet channel being longer on the sides on the new range, but it wasn't the case

Is it now as stable as the Tour? (If you’ve tried it). I found the stock Tour was much more stable than the MP against hard hitters but I’d quite like the extra spin of the MP.

It depends what is stable for you. If you hit with sweet spot and enough RHS its every racquet stable. I feel like mine stable enough to play under 5.0.

from what I know Zverev is using it.
TTW also confirmed in one of their video about Gravity line that he uses the actual Gravity Pro.

No changes in specs or mold, just a paint job update. The deeper string grooves for enhanced flex exists on present Gravity rackets. It is mentioned on the HEAD Gravity webpage, just not in the present 2020 catalog.

In all honesty, the string groove / grommet channel looks the same depth to me when comparing my Gravity sticks side by side with my other HEAD rackets, but all manufacturers need some technobabble marketing fluff these days.

Blueish-Green on one side, Yellow on the other. They might have just replaced the Coral color with Yellow, but I didn't look at it closely enough to tell if it was the same Teal color or something more blue.
I tried giving it a shot but couldn't tell for sure. At first glance newer one looked to have more blue-ish shade than teal of the current gen, but wife usually says I'm challenged when it comes to colors anyway (whatever than means) so I could be off here.

In comparing the Gravity Tour with TF 305, in stock how would those that have used both comment on stability, maneuverability, spin and power?

I’m very excited to try my new gravity pro when it arrives. It’s got a hybrid of Touch VS at 51 with BBO at 47.

I've got one, will play with it on the weekend

It seems to have come in at the TW average spec of 323g strung, but the balance i feel is much more head heavy than 4pts HL, it looks to be even balance exact or 1pt at most, which would probably mean that the SW is going to be alot higher, which might defeat the purpose of it

Unfortunate QC

I weighed up the handle to 339g similar to my Pro at 337g, and to match my Pro's balance, i would need another 15-17g of weight in the handle

At both weights of 323g (stock), 337g & 353g (modded) , just swinging it in my hands, the Pro is way faster - i suspect this wouldn't be the case if the QC was correct, i'm thinking i might of got a slight underspec on my Pro SW and overspec on my Tour SW

Maybe ill find out that im just totally wrong on the hitup, we shall see

Called that issue in a previous post... I wouldn’t buy one without paying for the matching service.

The two I have are 302g/320mm/297 SW and 305g/325mm/299 SW. They’re close, but the 5mm more head heavy is quite noticeable, more than anything else. It’s more sluggish and it shows during play.

Also, someone above mentioned how the Tour compares to the TF40.. short answer IMO is it doesn’t, they’re completely different racquets.

Curious if you could elaborate more on the differences you found between the TF40 and the Tour? Does the Tour play well with a hybrid or better with full poly?

Have two gravity MP - by perhaps fluke they are matched (how nice is matched racquets, not happened before!)

312 grams, strung - bought about 6 months apart! This head shape is proving very helpful in matchplay, a little error correction and some help in the upper hoop.

However had a recent "bad day @ the office" volleying - how is everyone else getting on with this frame and that stroke....? (volleys)

Good for me. For volleys you need correct technique and stable racquet helps of course. When i played with 300 strung racquets, i couldnt consistently hit volleys and was pretty bad at net. But with gravity MP + leather grip and 2 gram on 12, overall 327gr strung my volleys are good.

I agree, feather (300gr and less) light rackets are not very friendly to volleying.
I would add that also a grip size that is too small also causes problems for the execution of a good volley. Nowadays trend to have L0-L2 for men is not good for volleying.

I used to play L2-L3. Now i play L4, but with leather grip and it kind of feels too small a little bit, i dont know whats changed, because my hand is between small - average.

Ok added 4 grams up top so am now at 315grams, seems to have helped a bit - but still not super solid during group lesson the other morning, ugh.

Am an L3 grip but used to enjoy L4 for 1HBH, hmm must've also helped on the volleys as well!

The leather would be fairly thin yeh? Have always found leather fairly hard til it warms up. But on a Grav MP which is at 62 RA is it pretty darn connected or something? Did you change pallets on this, experiment, think the last Head I did that on was the Speed...
