Absolutely pathetic. Same story everytime. What makes you think that his on your team? Pretty backhand? Apparently they want to educate Roger on practices of his decade old business partners. The man is a partial owner and a face of private jet company. (not to mention the Alan Jones comment) If you want to be against him then do so openly, as this is simply disrespectful to him and his intelligence. He's a businessman who never seemed to care about the environment all that much. If the eco issues are really that important to you and you want to root for someone then there's one plant based eating, tesla driving, electric cars advertising player for you. The best thing however would be to stop assigning traits to famous people that were never there to begin with, not pretending that they share the same values and morals as you do.

And except for the many charity matches to meet relief efforts he’s hosted or participated in that have raised millions for relief.
And except for the million he just donated to help w Covid relief this year.

I agree that he has a track record of being charitable with his money. However, there's a difference between being charitable and making a public statement that can be perceived as political in nature. It's that latter category Roger has shied away from. His prerogative.

Philanthropy has made a bit of a comeback, but it's due to very unfortunate reasons. Socially-conscious environmentalism is not the same thing.

Michael Jordan once replied that ‘Republicans buy shoes too’ when asked why he was not vocal on political issues as a big part of his financial worth was from his Nike contract and Air Jordan shoe brand. I guess Federer keeps his mouth shut on anything that is remotely political for the same reason - he wants to sell Moet champagne, Lindt chocolates, Rolex watches and Barilla pasta to people of all political convictions around the world.
Who knows what he really thinks about environmental issues or any other hot button issues? He is happy enough having his fans project their own views onto his silence. I’m happy that he is a big philanthropist - it does help his public image, but there are many other rich, public figures who don’t help kids in undeveloped countries as much as he does.
