buy shoes without trying them on?

I think buying shoes on=line without trying them on first is a bad call bad call.:grin:
I will try a shoe on at a brick and mortar store or outlet (although if its a small store I feel kinda guilty) then order them on line. Once you find a model you like you can just keep ordering it on line, and stock up when they become discontinued at a great price.
my last pair of shoes(barricades) were the first shoe real tennis shoe that i ever bought that i got to try on first...my last 10 or soo pair of shoes i purchased online without trying them on...not one problem as of yet...i like buyine online, like e ba y because you can get 110 dollar shoes for half price if you look around long enough...
now that i live in the big city again, i will always beable to try stuff on before i buy, before i didnt have that luxury...

I've been buying shoes based on many other people's opinions and TW reviews, I got the babolat allcourt originals, the vapor IIIs, and on mon. the Vapor IVs all without trying them on. And all of them fit great, played great, the only problem was that they wore out, so I get new ones.

In the past, on occasion, I have bought the same style show in two sizes, trying both on side by side, and deciding which fits best.
This is in such cases where I cannot first find the show to try on locally. I say that as even though I keep to the same brand show, some styles do run slightly differently than others.
So on this case I know I'll have to spend money to return one of the pairs, but it is worth the peace of mind to me.

dude, its just not possible for some folks to try on stuff before they purchase...take it from me, i lived in an area where serious tennis shoes were not available so, like others have stated, you do the best you can with online research and roll the dice abit...i have been very lucky in the past, but now live in an area where i can indeed try stuff on before i purchase....
I buy all my shoes online because I generally only buy shoes when they are on sale after having been replaced by a newer model and therefore do not try them on pre-purchase. I have never had a problem with fit. Perhaps my feet aren't as particular as others when it comes to shoe fit.
