No no the Gravity Pro is on another planet. Not even a comparison

Only option close would be a true Radical frame. The Extreme Pro might be my first choice if it was available. I do feel odd how many lines are offering multiple string patterns.

18x20 not happening right now, however, the 16x19 is not too open, so, as I recall from the Extreme Tour, it felt (with added weight) like 18x20 with all benefits of 16x19...
Thinner beam of the Pro is very interesting to me, and curious to see this layup in the MP, with some weight added. Should be sweet
I must admit that as I am getting older I do prefer more and more 16x19 string pattern. It is dense enough for control both in Prestige Pro as well as Radical 16x19 prostocks. So what we really need is better layup of Radical MP/Pro.

Agreed. It’s much more closed than the Extreme Tour.
I don’t feel much of a change in the MP from the previous MP. Maybe a touch more flexible but as expected it’s more powerful than the Pro even strung at 48lbs. The Pro feels better to me over all and the balance although they say is 1pt HL it’s much more noticeable on the Pro when accelerating than the MP.

i see good things about the gpro, i automatically hit the like button.

considered waiting for the radicals before going for the gpro, but kinda glad i didnt
The Gravity Pro was an instant love. If I had to go away from my 6.1’s or custom Prestige MP’s I would go to a stock Gravity Pro in a heart beat over any racquet on the market and I’ve played with a few brands over the years lol.

granted i need more than 30 minutes of group drills with the MP, I'm slightly curious about the Pro. Lets see...
I need live ball to test racquets. Drills don’t do it for me as there’s not enough rhythm sometimes to make an accurate assessment of the racquet. The Pro has a bit more control and crisp feel compared to the MP. With the right work on it the Pro can be very very good

I liked the Pro. The rest of the lineup I found good/ok but not great. Wish I liked the MP more.

I have now an MP+, Mid+, ET and two GPros. I have gone through almost 100 frames the last 5 years, ranging from IG Prestiges to Ezone 100 and everything in between.

The GPro is amazing. Sometimes I wish the headsize was a bit smaller, but at the same time I acknowledge that perhaps it’s the complete package that does it.

Imo, this is the best Head frame I’ve tried (PT600), or owned (IG Prestiges, PT 2.0 and countless others). I never got to A/B it against the TF40, XFeel 95 or PS95S, frames i remember excelled at giving me that total control feeling. The GPro is perhaps not that precise, but there’s a similarity in confidence when you pick it up.

I got one girl who likes the MP more than the Pure Drive and 2021 Radical Pro. So much that she wants to take it to a Level 2 national in Alabama this weekend as her main racquet lol.

That is a impressive recommendation. Not sure how it makes me feel as I am looking forward to the 2021 Radical Pro, more so if it comes in silver:)

Ok here are the specs @Geoff sent me this morning.

Radical MP
316.5g
33cm 6pts HL
324sw
67RA

Radical Pro
336g
32cm. 9pts HL
318sw
65RA

The 318 SW explains why I thought it was way to light. Serious lead tape will be added this weekend to bring that up. The MP definitely feels a bit more head heavy (Used it again yesterday) and like the last 2 Radicals. The Pro has a bit more control all around.

That’s not going to happen lol. Colors will revert back to Orange and Silver

Correction on the Balance. It’s 7pts HL without the tourna grip.

Will the Pro make me play like Reilly :p (spoke with @Geoff earlier so now I know)? Love watching him bash as I am a bigger guy myself. Tell Reilly and your bro to keep up the great work!

Thanks for posting the specs, Raizu.

Radical MP - 33cm is actually 4pts HL.
316.5g and 324SW means a relatively highly polarised weight distribution. Some people are going to say this feels a little sluggish!

Radical Pro - 32cm is actually 7pts HL (noted that you corrected this in a later post)
I'm rather keen to try this, but it's likely going to need some lead to up the SW. It needs more beef if you ask me!

Even new Instinct is not stiff, Radical should keep its flexy nature...

I prefer the Instinct Pro (my version) than the Radical MP. The Radical Pro has potential to be better with some work.

yep I’m going to add weight all over the racquet except the head. I’ll see if I can get a SW around 340-350 before adding silicone which will probably be 15g

I like the specs on that MP except the RA... maybe little bit weight in the handle and good to go...

I don't understand why Head chose to manufacture the Extreme Tour and now Radical Pro under 320 in SW (317 and 318). It doesn't make sense.
The Yonex EZONE 98 is also underpowered at 317 strung, but the yardstick for this type of 305g (unstrung) 98 sq in frames is the PS 16x19 which clocks in at 327. The Ezone Tour 98, comparable to the new Radical Pro both at 315g unstrung, has a SW of 330.

Yes, they're head light and you can add weight yourself, but imo and ime, mfcs do a better job at distributing weight than I can with lead, whilst maintaining the positive attributes of the racket in question.

Head scratcher for me, too. One would reasonably expect a “Tour” or “Pro” labelled racquet to have SW around 325 or greater. Like you, I’ve found that adding lead is generally not as good as the manufacturer distributing weight by modifying the lay-up.

For example, it is improbable that a bit of lead strip competes favourably with a thicker walled section of the frame where additional sheets of graphite prepreg have been added to the lay-up. TTW has numerous postings where people have tried to weight up a lighter version of a heavier racquet from the same mold, but found that does nothing to replicate the more solid feel of the heavier version.

I’ll still try the Radical Pro when it’s released, but the sub 320 SW isn’t the start I had been hoping for.

The Nerd’s review of the 360+ Radical Pro is up. Specs of the one he has is rather different for SW:
337g, BP 32cm, 328.5 SW - see at 3.00 in the video.
The stick he’s got, more my thing!

Are the prototypes in circulation varied in specs? 318 vs 328.5 is a huge variance and this ain’t a Wilson!

The Pro sounds like it's more my type than the MP. I'm the type though that puts leather on everything...so there is also that. I do give racquets a fair shake stock (for the most part) before adding weight.

After chosen players and coaches are done with the prototypes, does Head sell them after? Really like the paint job and it looks promising spec-wise for the Pro.

Stores do sell prototypes as a “final” sale but this one might be hard to find. Last year I found the Gravity prototype racquet just after official Gravity release at a local Tennis store but the paint job is not as nice as this Radical.
I think these Radical prototypes will be hard to find!

Agreed. Both those racquets should have SW in the mid to high 330’s if not mid 340’s

Wonder how the MP and the Pro will play out. On the Extreme line, MP actually ended up with a higher SW than Tour. Are they trying to tell us that they want us to add weight to the “player” versions?

FWIW I have measured 10 SW point variance across multiple 360+ Extreme Tours so the Radicals are probably subject to the same variance. Still better than Wilson where I measured 20 SW point variance :-D.

I have no experience with demo racquets but I would assume or at least expect the demos to have a very tight QC since they are up for reviews. But you just can't assume anything these days haha.
