I watched the third and fourth set and cleary remember him hitting the net on crucial points. I agree to your point abt Zverev, Nadal would have overcome Zverev mostly in 4 or 5.
Nadal should have skipped the Atp cup. He won the Davis cup so no reason he should have played it, Djokovic had a reason not to skip and at the end it was a success for him and a disappointment and fatigue issues for Nadal
I'm surprised he does that sometimes. He's been on tour for so many years, yet to me it still looks like he overplays. I could be wrong.I thought that also - 2019 was massively busy/non stop...He needed a break and should have skipped ATP Cup.....He was exhausted by AO this year...
Add meI've just set up a TTW group chat for Nadal fans. As great as the public forum is, I thought it may be nice to have a private place for us to discuss stuff.
Let me know if you want to be added to it. Either like this post, or comment below.

But he played a long 2019 season. Went deep in all GSs winning two. Competed the end of the season where he normally gets injured a lot. He then played Davis Cup. Then ATP Cup.
There was no break. What did he expect. No time to work on his game before AO.
Even though rafa knows his body better than anyone, I feel like he overplayed too much around that time.
The author of the article is also lying. EF has never been Rafa's doctor.
21 is Bull's new fan-favorite number, ha?

@Icarus @DSH @pedro94
The group chat I set up had a max of 11 users, which we're currently at, but we're gonna set up a new one soon with a maximum of 21 which you three can be added to! (weird rules but basically older users apparently can't set up a chat with max 21 but newer users can).
Edit: Also PS, sorry @pedro94 for some weird reason I didn't get the notification when you liked the post, so I missed that initially. Will be sorted soon
I forget nadal didn't play too bad in that match.Underrated match by Nadal on indoors hardcourt.
It has to be one of the top 10 matches he had ever played in this kind of conditions.
Heading to Paris-Bercy and the historic 1000 victory for the Spaniard.
He would be the fourth tennis player in the Open Era to do so!

Also he'll probably always play Barcelona, even though he skipped Barcelona in 2010 and swept the masters events. He's been smarter when it's just his own participation on the line but as soon as it's about Spain, his brain goes right out the window
Rafa skipped the Barcelona tournament in 2010 because Monte Carlo & Barcelona & Rome Masters (mandatory) were held in three consecutive weeks that year. He said at his press conference that playing three tournaments in three consecutive weeks were too much in too short a period. His body (knees!) needed a break. Also he'll probably always play Barcelona, even though he skipped Barcelona in 2010 and swept the masters events.
Did I miss that Rafa live Instagram with Fed and Murray on here? Must of been a few months ago but I never saw it.
"Did you hit to his backhand" says Rafa when Murray played as Rafa playing against Fed on Top Spin
Looks gorgeous!Interview

Nadal already knows how to beat Djokovic on grass, they played to 10-8 in the 5th Set at 2018 Wimbledon, and its very obvious that Nadal would have won if the roof was open.
If rafa and his team has not watched this, maybe this can help them to formulate Strategies and Tactics to beat Novak on hard and grass.
A Rafan added English subtitles to a video inside the article:
Nadal said he'll play for as long as he's a contender for the big titles.I sincerely hope that Nadal continues to play until RG 2023, when he turns 37 and would be at most his last chance to win a Major tournament.
After that, it is very likely that he will start an irreversible decline that will prevent him from being competitive with the new generation of players and I do not think he wants to play for a while longer if he doesn't see any chance of beating his opponents, who will be far ahead of him at that point, physically.
There is no doubt that his final tournament should be RG, the most beautiful marriage and union in the history of tennis, a symbiosis of body and soul, most likely, never seen in the sport.
Hence my doubt: Will Rafael Nadal want (or dream) to retire in the tournament he loves the most, representing Spain at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games?
Don't you think that this would be the most perfect setting for the Bull of Manacor to give his final 'thrust' on a tennis court?

Post #41:Rafa is playing Golf right handed hmmm
Just imagine how much more Rafa would have won had he had Moya by his side sooner. Moya shouldn't talk too much about Rafa's game because other players will steal the ideas.Rafa's coach - Carlos Moya
Diario de Mallorca published a nice article about Carlos Moya's impact on Rafa’s game.
