Vote on which final you would prefer.

For obvious reasons I want Nadal in the final and for him to have another shot at Thiem. But Medvedev reaching the final would also be quite enticing.

Both Medvedev/Thiem would have beaten Djokovic/Nadal on their way to the final. So it would be interesting to see who comes on top out of those two.

Btw, on a separate note, when was the last time someone beat both Djokovic and Nadal in the same tournament?

This is Nadal's last and certainly best shot at winning this event whereas I think Medvedev will win it many times in the future. Happy either way, since Novak is out, but would like to see Rafa have his last shot at it. This time, no Federer or Djokovic in his way, but a solid Thiem.

Thiem vs Medvedev.

They have been the in-form players of the tournament and i think it would make for a better final. Nadal winning would help his career stats but i just don't think a Thiem vs Nadal final sounds appealing, i have already seen it once and despite the fanboys claiming it was the best match of the year. I thought it was a pretty dull match full with an unhealthy dose of choking.

Whoever called it best match of the year must have been trolling. It was aiight though.

And in-form Medvedev too.

Yes, why is why the event is not easy to win for anyone. Take a look at who were the last four, they basically are the top four in the world. Still think Rafa wins it, I told you before that Rafa very likely may not be playing Djokovic in the final, it may just be true.

As a Rafa fan I obviously want him to win, but Medvedev as the only undefeated player left, and coming in off the back of the Bercy win is pretty much the form player right now.

He maybe hasn't reached Thiem's heights (though he whooped Novak's butt a lot easier), but he's on a nice little 8-0 run. Couldn't be too ticked off if he comes through.

Also, having two guys face off in a final that both beat Nadal and Djokovic in the past week? That'd be pretty special.

Obviously I want Nadal to win every tournament he plays. But have to admit, Medvedev deserves it more. He didn't lose any matches.

Any final without either Nadal or Djokovic is preferred. But it would be great to see Thiem do what his partner did...win the WTF with back-to-back wins over the Big-3.

@Meles who do you go for in the final?
Well I said if my life depended on betting on these SFs, Medvedev and Djoko to make final so I guess I'm not totally off.

Nadal was pretty confused by the Med's late surge. Thiem hit a ton of slices at US Open in conditions that weren't ideal for that strategy. He'll have to do the same thing here and its likely more effective. But on the otherhand Thiem's return game despite improvements is still a notch below Nole and Rafa. I have to say that Thiem does not have a great, great record the next day after big wins like today, so the final tomorrow is a huge hurdle for him. I think that narrowly tips things toward Medvedev.
