Head Revolt Pro 3.5

Excited, getting a pair of the 3.5s today.
They look great, I hear the padding and comfort are excellent
Will post my feedback in upcoming days

Been a long time Adidas (Barricade and SCB) user before switching to Head Sprint SF (Original) and every time I go back to SCB or try something else my knees and hips and lower back re crying.
The Sprint SF has been discontinued and I found the new Sprint Pro 3.0 SF to be very different from the originals.
Looks like Revolt may be the answer!

Spent two hours with the Revolt Pro 3.5 today and they are DEFINITELY worth trying if you’re looking for:
- slightly wider shoe, I’d say medium plus, definitely NOT wide and not narrow
- light and super stable shoe
- great looking shoe
- no toe jamming
- no heel slipping

They do need about 1-2 hours of breaking in

They are perfectly sloped, heel slightly higher than the toe box, unlike ASICS for example

Get 1/2 size larger than your standard size.

Great job Head!!!!!

After about 5 hours on them, I am impressed.
Was initially stuck with the Sprint Pros but definitely love the Revolts and my foot is fairly narrow (would not say really skinny, but definitely not wide)

Stable, breathable, comfortable, especially after the initial 2 hours!

How are a "slightly wider shoe" and "fairly narrow" feet a good match?

I'm in the Adidas Solecourt Boost for my clay shoes now, size 10.5. Looking for my next clay shoes. How would these compare fit wise. I really like the fit of the Adidas. Thanks.

More space in the right places--like the toebox--can make a shoe so much more comfortable to wear for long periods of time as long as your midfoot is stable and the heel isn't slipping. It can actually help foot muscle fatigue over time.

Yes, but that is not what the discrepancy I pointed at indicates. I am not questioning that a particular person can have an excellent fit in a particular shoe: I am saying that I read two statements that do not go together. I myself have a wide forefoot, which is why I need a roomy toe box, but that is different than my foot being in a "slightly wider" shoe, and I will never be able to have a secure fit in it, that is why I asked for a clarification for what it actually means/how the fit is.

I think he's just trying to say that even though he has a narrower foot and this shoe is slightly wider that he didn't have any complaints. That's all. A roomy shoe that still keeps your foot in place--no blisters, injuries, etc.--is basically the best of both worlds. FWIW, he didn't say anything about it being a good match for his foot shape. Just that even though the shoe is a tad wide and his foot is narrow he doesn't have issues and loves the shoe. That's how I read it anyway.

I’d say the width is very similar. The heel area is more snug. If you’re 10.5 in SCB, get 11.5 Revolt Pro

Thanks. Looking specifically for a clay sole, play a lot of Har-Tru. Do you have experience with Head clay court soles? Good traction? Last awhile?

I don’t, sorry. I only use the HC sole. I did use the Sprint SF regular sole on hartru and it was very good

three weeks into these, probably 15 sessions, average 90-120 minutes, so roughly 20-30 hours or so:
- they feel and look incredible
- the sole is holding really well and no issues
- no heel slippage
- no toe jamming
Very stable and comfortable and light shoe!

Hi, I wanna ask what are the minor changes compared to the 3.0? I’ve got wider feet with almost no arc, so the search for shoes has been quite the journey...until I found the Revolt 3.0 a few months back, love this shoe, been running free of pain ever since! Feels so light but yet so stable it’s weird tbh.

Sorry, never tried the 3.0, wish I did though.

I ordered the sprint pro 3.0 and revolt 3.0, both clay versions. Only the sprint has the ventilation holes in the sole, which I found interesting. Sprints are narrower. Revolts feel more stable. I kept the revolts for fit reasons. Solid upgrade over Gel Resolution 8, especially digging the inner slope and overall build quality.

Has anyone noticed a significant difference in durability between the 3.0 and the 3.5?
I wore a pair of the 3.0's for about 4 months before the outsole wore through. My pair of 3.5's already has the beginnings of a hole after 3 or 4 weeks.

Edit: 2 holes

i'm confused, the width is similar, but you're recommending an entire size up?
Not sure what those two have to do with each other. Sadly, every manufacturer has own sizing template and in this case adidas isn’t running too big, Head too small…compared to what I used many years ago. Going from one to the other, I’d go with +1 size on head. Will go down to +0.5 on the next Head model (4.0)

Last two days it has been 93F (34F) and 70%+ humidity here in Dallas.

I played 2 hours each day and was PURE water, each day came home 4-5lbs lighter! However, the Revolt Pro 3.5 felt great and my feet felt VERY comfortable, did not feel any heat at all (dark color).

Will update on the durability on the hot asphalt

Well,

Maybe I have weird preferences, but a US11.5 is always the right size for me. Unless it's a leather upper, in which US11 is the fit (NB 806 for example).

I think what I really am is an EU45 (at smallest) with 45.5, even 46, working for me. I push off hard af and need a roomy toe box.

The Revolts are really tempting me, as I'm about retire my fave sneaker pair soon and get to pick a replacement <grin>. But the 3.5 heel collar design looks meh, and that is nearly fitment item No. 1 for me. I learned to require that as a runner (now reformed  <heh>). My local shop has some Revolt 3.0 stock (but not the 3.5 yet, because C19 and such). If the 3.5 is a lot like the 3.0 then I have to pass, he lamented.

I like the collar on the Revolt 3.0 and 3.5. It’s very padded for my ankle area. Also the toe box is nice and wide.

Received a pair of these as I'm looking for a replacement candidate for soul court boosts, so I'll be comparing them to those.

I wear 10 in SCB and ordered a 10.5 for the revolt pro. The revolt was still smaller than the scb a half a step down. Recommend a full size like those above. Very small shoe for some reason.
Sits lower in the front than SCB, not much cushion up front. I've had metatarsal pain from landing hard after jumping in Vapors before so this is a bit worrisome for me, maybe not so much for others.
Rear heel cushion seems about the same. Front toe box is good enough, even though the SCB may have a bit more.

But I'm sending them back because the lateral stability just isn't there. I've rolled my ankle badly before and these don't seem to have much roll over protection. The SCB on the other hand are almost unrollable due to that extra bit of side stability. These are a no go for me. I'm stocking up on any and all SCB that I can find in my size until I can find something else.

I found these to be at least as stable as the SCB.
Also, the durability, after 3 months now, is on-par with the Barricades (lasted me about 3 months on HC)

Bumping this, just bought a pair from the clearance at TW. Let's hope for the best as my normal preferences are just not in stock right now...

@LiamMiguel These shoes are fantastic! Forefoot cushioning could be a little better, and durability could be a bit better as well - but I use them for coaching, so I'm wearing them basically all day. I doubt a shoe exists that has my definition of "enough" cushioning and durability haha.

Edit: I see now in your signature line that you're playing for Sewanee, that's cool! How are you liking it so far? I played at Lee University, just down the road, so I'm pretty darn familiar with Sewanee from tournaments.

It's good so far! Just came back from California where we had our spring break tournament thing.
