ATP YE Finals are wildly overrated in value. I'm not sure they're even as valuable as some of the stronger master's tournaments like Indian Wells. I'm not trying to present an argument as this is clearly junk-level bait, but I'm sick of seeing this money-grab tournament listed as somehow superior to regular master's events. Giving it 1500 points is a joke.

The year end finals have lost the significance they once had. Same as the Davis Cup, which used to feel almost as significant as the slams. It's sad, but that's how tennis evolves.

As the GOAT, he has nothing more to do, except stopping Nadal from winning few more slams (which would make Rafa GOAT competitor).

Djokovic has now clearly the best resume. If you base your goat opinion on numbers is a different thing, but don't try to twist it. Djokovic has a DCGS and double golden masters, the same record amount of grand slams, 1 more year end #1 (and probably ends up 2021 at the top as well), tied record at number of masters1000 and record weeks at #1.

To me Federer will alway be the goat, but I never based my opinion on numbers or the records he had, so Djoko having better numbers doesn't change my perspective.

Masters can't fairly be compared because many had BO5 finals during most of Federer's peak years, as did other tournaments (he played in 11 BO5 finals in 2006). Peak Federer often skipped multiple Masters each season.

YEC don’t matter. Many experts have Nadal as GOAT without it.

The bottom line is Djok will eclipse both Nadal and Federer if he pulls ahead by 1 more GS. You can make all the excuses you like about importance of certain titles. The same goes for both Nadal and Federer if they best the others by 1 GS.

I'm a huge Fed fan, but at the end of the day Djokovic will be better than him as well as Nadal. Of course part of the equation includes staying injury free or only having minor injuries and Djoker has had a little better luck in that cateogry. All 3 players have had incredible careers. No need to discuss weak era's. Each era have their own strengths and weaknesses and IMO they can not be compared.

I am pretty sure that post had something related to tennis.

GOAT'hood brings you a lot of intangibles like the most popular player, the most liked, the most watched, etc. It just so happens Fedr leads in every single category and hence the top billed tennis player. There will be players more successful than Fedr but Fedr will always lead everywhere else.
