Citypass breaks at love for 3-1. AdM may be gassed.
Tsitsipas goes through... I hope he wins the whole tournament now....
Maybe I’ll get to bed at a decent hour. This will be over soon. Truly one-way traffic it seems...
I really feel sorry for him. He got some really bad press (sort of deservingly) but seems to be in his own world - not always compatible with the 'real world. He can play some good tennis though and I hope the rest of the tournament is truly competitive...Zverev is more likely I think. Although I’ve always appreciated his game and the aggressive way he plays, I gained more respect for Tsitsi after seeing him in person at Laver Cup. He’s nice to watch.
It is 3 PM here, so perfect time to watch tennis while working from home...Maybe I’ll get to bed at a decent hour.
He really did play well. Good to see him playing at this level.Great match by Alex. Made all of us Aussies proud...
Zverev could also squash that hope and even overcome Tsitsipas for #3. A SF meeting could be the defacto final if we assume the winner beats best of Hurkacz/Dimi/Norrie/Schwartzman. The difference between a SF and a F is 240. The difference between a SF and a title is 640 points. Zverev is a little over 550 points behind Tsitsipas in the Race, a little over 1000 points behind in the Rankings. Not talked about as much, Tsitsipas has a better chance of overcoming Medvedev for #2 in the world than Medvedev has of overcoming Djokovic now. I still like the Mad Lad's chances with Paris and Turin coming up, but it's certainly not set in stone that he finishes #2.
How many times did he go to the toilet?Tsitsipas is nearly there though. Leads 5:3 in the third..
Did not watch the whole match but I think = 0How many times did he go to the toilet?
Superpowers ---What does Monfils need to do to turn this match around?

The guy owns IW and he’s gets no name recognition.Did you guys catch Bill Gates and Larry Ellis in the stands at the Zed match?
Yes, can Fritz morph from two Italian Jobs into taking down The A-Team’s Baracus’ protégé ?Zverev should not have major trouble with Fritz - but you never know....

He is certainly the most hated American in Italy at the moment .Yes, can Fritz morph from two Italian Jobs into taking down The A-Team’s Baracus’ protégé ?
Is that wishful thinking?I think it might impact his confidence for rest of the year and AO 2022.
I would absolutely love to see Grigor win this. His game is beautiful to watch when it’s on and I really like him, but how is Hubie an easy path? He seems to be in form.Dimitrov has a real shot of winning this thing now. Really easy path to the final now though he'll need another top effort to beat Zverev or Tsit.
Yep, he couldIsn’t it possible that Zverev could leapfrog both Tsitsipas and Medvedev for the #2 spot?
Although Citypass has won both matches he has played Basil Fawlty, both times it was relatively close on HCs back in 2019 (AO in 4, Beijing in 3). No blowout bakery sets. When the Georgian finds his game he is perhaps the scariest red line floater on tour. Two titles already this year proves that. Plus he is playing with house money after his escape vs ARV in 2R. He will be as loose as a goose tomorrow.I would be happy for Dimitrov to win but I don't think he will for a simple reason: he won more because Medvedev imploded than any reason having to do with his own game. I personally think Zverev will win the tournament.
So both of today's quarters are very interesting and I love all four players: Schwartzman vs Norrie, and Hurkacz vs Dimitrov. I am rooting for Schwartzman and Hurkacz to make it to the semis. Norrie has been playing really well lately so I expect that to be the closer match of the two...
I don't think Fritz will be able to handle Zverev's power tomorrow, and I doubt Basilashvili will be able to handle Tsitsipas's game tomorrow either. I think today's matches will be the more exciting ones but you never know, this tournament has been quite topsy-turvy!
I really only dislike Citypass because of his long list of gamesmanship incidents. The whole racquet tapping, shoelace issues and long bathroom breaks are all done to distract and/or take a grooved opponent out of his rhythm. I love his game and really don’t care about the vlogging and other off court activities. Just stop resorting to being Trixiepas in order to win.TT's posters change their minds often. I didn't see Tsisipas because the game ended at 6 am.
Tsisipas's game is fun to watch live I do agree about that! People say he's a bad person but I have a difficulty with being at least somewhat objective. Zverev's stans hate Tsitsipas. They dislike Novak. The Novak I saw was nice fun and patient. Tsisipas lives in his own bubble but he's like eccentric but not mean like some of you said. He had some bad luck.
Agassi did meth.
I root for Hurkacz. I hope his form and mental strength stays will continue. I regret that both he and Grigor won't pass.
I mean it was a big loss and it kind of exposed Med a little bit on his inability to handle variety. Is that wishful thinking?
