I bought a brand new Topspin CL 639 and all I have to say is...WOW!!! This racket is amazing. Had perfect amounts of power and is a 6.1 clone with a 16x18 string pattern. I am very, VERY impressed with this racket. I have it strung with Cyberflash mains and Gosen crosses.

I was wondering if anyone else has hit with any of the Topspin rackets...

It started with me loving their strings but now I'm falling for their rackets too...

I used their rackets for many years during the 80s. Also I hit with all their sticks for at least some minutes. Very high quality - they have a producer who still works in Taiwan, not China.
The rackets are very stiff, you have to like this. The CL 639 I didn't like that much - maybe because of the open pattern. My favourite is the CL 633 Pure in 695 mm length. But even their TPC Series are really interesting rackets, especially the 1000 and 1200. These are their own molds which exist since 15 years or more but the rackets are still kind of modern.

I'd definitely be interested in trying one of these frames. Any reason why TW doesn't carry these frames?

yea, the classic...but it seems like it is a mix between the 6.1 classic and the 6.0...it is sort of flat beam...ill try and take pictures tomorrow

These are the ones where the balance point can be made to spec, aren't they? What's the balance point of your Topspin racquet?

They just modified the mold of the 6.1 Classic: reduced the PWS and changed the transition of the hoop. That's how they do it always with "copies": modifying the mold in some details, but not too much so they still can use the standard bumper and drilling mold. That's cheap and you have an "own" racket not a direct copy.
