Man I cannot wait. The new screens are freaking gorgeous. What I'm most excited for is seeing the end of the halo story. The multiplayer on XBL will keep me coming back for a loooooong time.

I voted no, still looking for PC games more exciting than Far Cry and Grand Theft Auto 3.

you are comparing a finished version with a beta version, of course the graphics will be blah in comparison.

Pretty sure that the graphics in the beta are close, if not 100% the same, as the final version. At least that is what one of the developers said in an interview.

BTW, when I said I liked Bioshock more, I meant in _every_ category.

I suppose I'm excited, although not as much as I was about BioShock, which, BTW, is the best thing ever. I'm really looking forward to online though, as nothing on the 360 has really wowed me yet.

Cannot wait for Halo3 after playing the beta. Still though there are alot of incredible games coming this fall/winter for both the PS3 & 360. Right now my most wanted title is Call of Duty 4.

Yeah dude for sure. COD 4 looks amazing. Can't wait for it to come out. They say it will be the first game where you can actually hide in the grass. If you don't move guys will move right past you and have no idea your there. So pumped! :D

Wow I can't believe there are even any Bioshock lovers out there. FIrst of all Lakoste there's the fact that you saw the BETA graphics, which definitely aren't finished(care to show me this interview?) and probably most importantly the campaign graphics are waaaaay better than the multiplayer graphics. Bioshock is like Gears of War, a pretty game, but wont be played for very long. Halo 3 will have a huge following 2 years from now. The multiplayer makes the game.

"The graphics are going to improve," he said, "but honestly, this is pretty representative of how multiplayer is going to look." - Frank O'Connor
It isn't the same interview that I talked about above, but thats the best I could find from a not too lengthy google search.

Considering Halo 2 was for the original XB, I'd hope the graphics would improve a ton, not just a little bit. Also, who cares if the single player graphics are amazing? You even said yourself that multiplayer makes the game, so I don't see why you mentioned that the campaign graphics will be 2378658723x better than the multiplayer graphics.

Yes i am excited and i do plan on buying Halo 3 when it comes out. Unfortunately i havent played my 360 for about a week now and i probably wont be playing it for roughly a month or so because i sent my system in for repairs due to 3 red flashing lights on the front.

Does Bioshock even have a multiplayer? It seems unfair to compare single player graphics to multiplayer, but whatever. You can argue all you want. Halo 3 is the single biggest game in the history of videogames.

Halo 2 was the most disapointing sequel in recent memory (and that includes the Matrix 2 movie). They absolutely butchered the multi-player...No I'll stick with Hang'Em High, the gulch and Prisoner from the origonal and curse the day I laid down $60 for the advance edition of Halo 2...what a waste...

Dude are you ********? Halo 2 was the most sold game ever when it came out. On an average there are usually about 100,000 people online on Halo 2 everyday. I don't think that you can say that they butchered the multiplayer. What a ludicrous statement.

I thought halo 2 multi was better than halo 1 with the patches and stuff to up melee, battle rifle damage, and fix glitches.

The main problem with halo 1 was the fricken pistol. Me and my friends just duke it out with pistols until we find rocket launchers and snipers. The thing has zoom, accuracy, power, and speed. So overpowered.

Let me get this straight...Since Halo 2 was the most game ever it was good? Don't really see the accuracy or point in that. The only improvement is the that it has online capacity, other then that the multiplayer is awful. All the fun is gone, the game is now just like every other multiplayer where you regain your health if you hide and it's all about getting the sword. Halo 1 was the Goldeneye for Xbox 2...Halo 2 took the game 2 steps backwards (and no the mere fact that 100,000 thirteen year olds battle daily does not make it good or better).

Pistol was the best part of Halo 1. If played well it was easily on par with Sniper on every level but the Gulch...

I'm somewhat excited. Don't have the money now to buy it. But I'm baby sitting tomworro some maybe I can get some dough. I'll wait until Christmas:D

The game I'm excited about is Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway. I haven't played the other BIA games in the series but I loved shooting games espically WW2 ones (if they are good). This one looks pretty damn good. Can't wait for that one!! Anyone else Excited about BIA: hells highway?

I still dont understand how Halo has become such a revered franchise. Halo is so overated.

I don't understand how all these people still playing it doesn't mean it's good. Why aren't there that many people playing every other game online. Your reasons, if they can even be called that, for this game being bad are severely flawed. All you say is it's worse. What's worse about it. You actually liked the supremely unbalanced pistol? If there would've been online Halo:CE the pistol would have been just like the sword. You liked having a pistol that was more akin to a sniper rifle?

There's always people that feel like they need to go against the crowd. Most of them haven't played it, or never got past level 10 on XBL.

No, Bioshock doesn't have a multiplayer, it isn't that type of game. It is kind of like Half-Life 2 in the sense that a multiplayer mode wouldn't work well, so instead Valve made CS:S, which is based off the same graphics engine, but non-related to HL2.

Also, I don't see why it is unfair to compare a single player game to a game that it's main "hook" is its multiplayer? Is it your stance that it is somehow easier to make a single player game look better?

I'm not saying Halo 3 is a bad game, I just find Bioshock to be better, it is called an opinion. Either way, Crysis is probably going to blow both games out of the water.

Dumbest statement I've heard anyone say, ever.

It is going to be a huge hit though. You can't argue that. The hype that surrounds Halo 3 is freakin ridiculous. Bioshock looks pretty sweet though. Have you seen the graphics for COD 4? They look intense.

I'm only talking about multi-player as I was never a fan of playing single-player games. Halo 2 made the mistake that all sequels do...it tried to reinvent everything instead of maintaining the things that made it great. Is Halo 2 a bad game compared to most games...no...but compared to the origonal it was a phenomenal disapointment. I used the analogy of the Matrix 2 since a lot of people loved that movie and thought it was epic...just like Halo 2 though (and we are still just talking multi-player) it took itself too seriously and lost all of the fun of the origonal...things like grenades not doing anything, excessively busy graphics, pistols being worthless, regenerating after 15 seconds instead of your life actually staying down if you get hit. The only upgrade is that you can play online, meaning there is always the capacity for a big battle. Problem is I lived with 8 people in college and already had 2 TV's set up for constant live big multi-player battles. Hype means very little...Halo 1 joins Goldeneye and Contra as epics...absolutely no interest in Halo 3...

Yeah, I'm excited for it. I won't buy it (bought a Wii instead of 360) but I'll definetly play it with my friends.

At least I can agree with something here. I still play the original Starcraft online, my name on there is same as here. I have Brood War also but more people play online in the original.

No not easier necessarily, but they stated they wanted to keep the multiplayer graphics simple so as not to subtract from gameplay. Campaign graphics really showwhat this game can look like. Anyway gameplay is what matters, and Bioshock took me about 8 hours to finish, while Halo 3 will last well into next year. Crysis is getting all this hype because of graphics, nothing else, it could end up being a completely horrible game.

Grenades not doing anything? There was a patch within a few months of the game being released to boost their damage any more.

What is busy about this? Just for reference here is a screen from Bioshock. No mind you I love these graphics, but Halo has never been busy.

Even if they fixed the grenade problem (i took game back 3 weeks after getting my pre-ordered copy at midnight at gamestop as I'd never been so disapointed in a game) there was still the issue of regeneration (full life returns if you hide for like 10 seconds) and yeah I still found the weapons less effectie then before (not to mention less cool) with the new sword making it a completely different game...which I guess is the main problem, I loved Halo and wanted it. Yeah sharpen a few things but give me Halo and put it online...it didn't need much...oh well...my gaming days are gone, though I certainly will dust off the N64 for Goldeneye every once in awhile, the nintendo for Contra and the XBOX for Halo 1. No interest in Halo 2...Halo 3 can talk to me if the regernerative power thing is fixed...the gun situation is fixed and the levels aren't catering completely towards use of the sword...get back to what made it a franchise...
