Don't let Bette see this. You should of heard what she did to Carlos Moya latest "aka Bimbo" during his last match. It wasn't pretty. She has a jealous streak.

Strolls in to the bistro...looks around....spots her beloved Dedans...takes her "rightful" spot on the stool next to her cyber spouse...Why yes, I'd like a shot of the wonderful liquer up on the very top shelf Babe...thanks for asking....be a gentleman and get it down for Ms Fee won't you?
Hypothetical question here...would anyone think me strange for "virtually" beeeeooootch slapping that bleach blonde succubus with the fake boobs that's responsible for Carlos's losing streak? Anyone? No, phew good...was worried that Sup might be spreading vile lies about me

Why is it everyone thinks of Drak when they need to have a drink with someone. Is he the Barney of this Bistro?

oh oh TOpaz,

Ferrer is wearing a necklace! People there is a theory thats being tested, that men ATP players who wear necklaces tend to faulter more than the non-jewlery wearers. Safin, Agassi during last run, Baggy (until of late .. he took it off).. etc.

Lets see if its just a coincidence. I say not.

Not just ATP players, though, right? ;)

Someone get a message to David...lose the necklace!

Bad day in ILCland:( Took car with radiator problems in to the dealership. Was hoping that a hose had dry rotted...but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...of course it would be worse...to the tune of $700...while I'm at it, why not change all the filters, fluids, belts, hoses..(yeah, I'm being hosed) etc etc etc.....so today is going to cost me close to 2 grand....heavy sigh.........
Well, it's the only thing I've ever had to do to the car since buying it except for oil changes so I guess that's not too awful. I did see a really pretty red CTS in the show room that had my name written all over it..."Mrs Dedans Penthouse...come pet me"...Well, my investments did really well last month...before the bottom fell out of the market yesterday, so I guess I know where my profits will be going:sad:
Walks behind bar...takes bottle of cognac and heads to the corner stool...will wait for Dedans to come in and send him to pick up the car....can't suck down cognac all day...sniff sniff sniff...and drive car too...sigh.....

ilc quote: "Grabs a bottle of cognac and walks over to the corner stool..."

You're the cat's meow; a no-nonsense two-fisted drinker. Here, my comely cognac-snackin' comquat, come 'stagger' over to the window--I have your charriot. However, I've hired a Dealer 'rep' to drive it home for you: as it is, you're in no condition to drive and--what the hell--I don't want you pounding that bottle of Delamain alone--I'm gonna join you. Btw, am (really) sorry to hear about the 'old' ride; it seems that when it rains it pours, so let's pour. I have two "I had a lousy day" size brandy snifters here whose 'bowls' are the size of churchbells--they ought to do the trick......let me help you over to the window;

check this out, baby doll .....oh, and you said you wanted it in red?* :

Happy Birthday Peter!!! You deserve the best so a large glass of our best scotch is on the house. Aren't birthdays great when they are someone else's?

Congrats Topaz!! Very proud of you (although I had no doubt you would do well). You have a winning spirit and that is what matters in life. Did I steer you wrong in the clothing dept.? If so, my apologies (although we'll blame it on Rich). *snickers*

Aww Sup, you are ever a sweetie and I appreciate your post!

I think we need to ban Long Islands for a while. I discovered that when you drink too many of them, they have an adverse reaction on the mind and body! lol.

Excellent, thanks Fee. There is that special unmarked line to which we all are aware. I always stop way before that line comes into view, but on this one occasion I just barreled through. *outta my way* Yep, until the next morning when all I could manage to mumble for the first hour was "Oh my gawd!!".

Sounds to me like you had a good bartender. A well-made Long Island sneaks up on you, you feel nothing as its going down, it hurts to stand up, and then it finds you in the morning like a fire-breathing dragon!

The only cure is lots and lots and lots of water. Then soup and other light foods until your organs flush it all out. ;)

I agree. I had some V8 and as soon as I could eat I had greasy food which helped (and a tonne of water). Thank goodness nights like that are very rare.

Sup and SFan - sorry but I was booted. I will get it fixed as soon as possible though.

I thought this was cute and since there are posters from all three countries in this thread, thought I'd toss out the joke of the day:

Question:

How do you tell the difference between a Canadian Police Officer, Australian Police Officer, and an American Police Officer?

Pose the following question:

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises the knife, and charges. You are carrying a Glock 40, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.

What do you do?

CANADIAN POLICE OFFICERS

Answer: (Immediate thought processes)

Is the knife a ceremonial kirpan?

Does he prefer to communicate in English or French?
Will this negatively impact my chances of promotion?
Is this just his way of telling me that he pays my wages, and wants my job?
Will the media do a profile of him and how he was loved by everyone including his dog?
Is the alleged "client" a member of the NDP or an Environmental Group?
Is he just a squeegee kid / pan handler trying to make a living on the mean streets?
Is he a member of a gang that is just "misunderstood" by society?
Is he a recent illegal immigrant to this country, and just doesn't know how to approach the police?
Is he recently released on parole and hasn't been properly integrated back into the community?
Is he a victim of fetal alcohol syndrome, and just doesn't understand what he is doing?
Is he a member of the Muslim community or other visible minority group?
Warn and Charter him as he approaches.

AUSTRALIAN OFFICERS

Answer: BANG!

AMERICAN OFFICERS

Answer: BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! BANG! BANG! Click.... (Sounds of reloading) BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Click.

HaHa...good one CC! My brother sent me something similar after he moved to Georgia....his was about Northern, therefore liberal, police and southern, therefore redneck gun toting police;) Either way...it's good for a giggle..
Have finallly recovered from the financial kick in the pants of the trip to dealership for my car...heavy sigh....well I shouldn't have to do anything to it for quite a while. Still, it smarts laying out that much money. Think I'll have some more coffee "with" a strong something added to it. Lovely crisp fall day today...should we light the fire place or will it get too warm in here?
Wonder if Peter will come in and share some of his rare scotch with us? Just bought a huge brick of Dubliner cheese...will whip up some nice mac and cheese for a luncheon special for us....any takers?

Gaahh! _Definitely_ no scotch for Malakas!

As for the rest of the people in the Bistro - wanna taste some real scotch? Just tell me which one you wanna taste - Bruichladdich, Longmore, Lagavulin or Clynelish and I'll be happy to share it with you! You can even have it any way you like, as long as it's eather straight or with a tiny slash of water... Definitely no ice.

Peter, you are certainly generous with your birthday scotch. I don't ever drink it myself (a little too strong for these tastebuds), but would be up for a small taste. May I have a slight splash of scotch in a tall glass full of water and loads of ice? Thanks buddy!! ;)

Too strong? Ah. But then you have tasted the wrong kinds of scotch. Real good _quality_ scotch have a lot of flavour and really tickles your taste buds - it's just the bad scotch that feels strong and raw.

One of the best I've ever had was a special edition 17 year old Laphroaig. Now, the normal 10 year old Laphroaig is famous for it's strong taste (good, strong, but still) with a *lot* of smoke and stuff - the 17 year old was very different. VERY different. One sip of a glass of it and then you let it stay on your tounge for a little while and you just felt it slowly disapate away... Heaven on earth!
