Yes, the pj of the new kTour. And her old racket - you can see Power Holes in the pic.

have the ncode tour 2

heard when henin played with tht model(ncode tour 2 ) it was actually apaint job, i sorta figured as much coz when i compared mine to a pic with henin holding what looked like an tour 2, the dimensions were all wrong, folks in the forums differentiated them by saying her PJ had power holes. not real familiar with old models, so heres my question, what are power holes? what do they look like? etc

lawsuit

why doesnt sb sue these damn racquet companies for misrepresentation of PJ racquets tht pros use. coz the tag will run in ads, racquet of choice of World no.1 Justine Henin, etc. the lies.

powerholes are the elongated holes at 3 and 9 o'clock on some Wilson racquets that supposedly allow the strings to flex with the impact of the ball and catapult the ball forward with more power. JH uses a Hyper Hammer 5.3 stretch with powerholes, the same stick she has played with for many years.

Because they find what works for them when they are young and don't want to mess with a winning formula...it ain't the racquet that makes them great!

Rackets generally haven't evolved that much over the past 10years. It is the strings that have done the most evolving with the invention of poly.

Here's a pic of the Wilson Hammer 6.4 Stretch OS, when Wilson introduced the technology back in 1997. It was also the frame Serena Williams used to win her first Grand Slam at the US Open in '98...You can clearly see the powerholes at 3, 9 and 12 positions of the head. The 'power'-holes did just exactly that...give more 'power.' It had an extreme trampoline effect on the ball. Playtests and user feedback revealed a sense of uncontrollable power, which is why it was eventually discontinued.

Sure, Henin's using the [K]Tour. Hers just has a different mold and different specs.

I mean, honestly, what defines a racquet as a certain racquet? Is it the paint, the mold, the specs?

No lying, that argument wouldn't hold up in court. No offense meant, but they aren't saying that the Wilson Model #ABC123 is her model, the brand name is, thats all. Thats their point of view and they are sticking to it.

Go look at the jr kiddy racquet's on the wall of your pro shop/sporting goods store, Feds face, Williams Sisters faces, Agassi is still on them..they dont play with those racquet's...its just their brand, the faces and names sell the brand :)

short dialogue between Henin and myself in summer 2006:
JH: "I use this racket since 7 or 8 years and this string since more than 10 years - and I feel good with it!"
jura: "Did you ever tried something else?"
JH: "No! And I don't want to!"

With a different mold and different specs it's a different racket!

The new paintjob looks sweet...

That said I don't think I'd like a racquet of her specs. If only Fed got her paintjobs, now THAT would be cool.

I consider it false advertising when a kid buys a racket because they believe their favorite player uses it when in fact the only thing in common is the paint and usually (not always) the company. Your example for kiddie rackets holds up but what about the full size models? Sure the kids shouldn't be buying rackets because their favorite player uses it and you could say that's their fault for buying because of it but it still falls under false advertising.

Before we go any further, let me just say this. I agree with you to some point, but wouldnt call it false advertising, I would call it unfair.

Federer has become the face of Wilson, Agassi (eventhough retired) Head, shoot Graf is on Heads Racquets because of him.

Its about branding. Go into a Pro Shop or a high end sporting goods retail store. Count how many racquets have Feds face on them, you really think a 15 yo is going to get confused? Im talking the full-size models.

Legal side, for marketing purposes, which is why I made my response in the first place, its branding for the face of the company. In all honesty, they dont care what we think or the players as long as that stencil and pj is on Feds racequet right before he hoists another trophy.

I don't know which racket you picked up but surely not Henins. I hold her racket at the French Open 2005 and strung it at a tournament in summer 2006 - and both times it had Power Holes. Also all pics of her whole career show the Power Holes.

So how are you damaged by not getting to use the same racquet as Justine Henin? Should I sue Honda b/c my Prelude isn't the same as the F-1 racer?

So how many pros actually use the new versions? I presume Federer does actually use the K Six One Tour?

Jura, do you know the flex rating of her racquet? The stock 5.3 shows with a flex of 75 and I'm just wondering if her racquets are that stiff?

I'm not completely sure, but since she does string with full natural gut (I think), she might string it that way because of the high stiffness...

I am pretty sure Sponge Bob and Dora the Explorer actually use the same Wilson kid rackets :)

Due to the specs I have listed her rackets have an RA of 73.

At least in the U.S. if you want to sue someone you need an actual personal injury. How were you injured by her using a pj? Even if you can think of something the damages would be nominal- which means--- no lawyer on earth is going to take this case!

i believe you're mistaken. I believe it's the hammer 5.2 stretch. the 5.3 stretch IS available on TW to buy. check out its specs... like ridiculous stiffness 78ra... if you look at the 5.2 stretch specs they're very comparable to the Ntour-2 and Ktour. The TW warehouse also compares them to the old Htour and hammer 5.2

isn't it the 5.2 jura ? and didn't she use the Htour paintjob..then the ntour two, then the Ktour?
HH 5.3 Stretch with PH
On this racket she used all following pj's: HH 5.2, H Tour, nTour, nTour Two and now the kTour.
