This is for all the player's who's main racquet is discontinued. For those who must purge unworldly hours going through classifieds and other private sellers for backups of their precious weapons of choice. It's for all those players who refuse to play with new technology just because it's new. It's for anyone who worries about the last ever batch of their main racquet being sold and no longer available at TW!

I refuse to pay more than $120 for a racquet. I don't know if you consider my racquets discontinued because they are discount racquets still sold by TW.

I actually don't mind if they stop selling them, because I will probably never own more than one of the same racquet because I like variety and to switch up my racquets. Once I get bored of my racquets I look for cheap ones on TW. I know my specs so I don't demo and so far I've not been disappointed. I have 7 different racquets and rotate between 4 of them right now.

If it is no longer manufactured, then it counts.

You're fischers wouldn't happen to be 11.3 unstrung (stock form), 27 in.

Cuz I have fischer pro numbr 1 as my backup. I don't really like it, but it was a hand me down, the same way my rdx 500 was a hand me down.

count me in I use the prince magnesium pro just one a nice one on the auction site strung with a hybrid sigma plasma 18 ga. an forten, I also use the kennex 5G PSE and kinda fearful it might be discoed. hardly anyone cares about it and its too nice to be relagated to the dust bin of history like the mag pro.

Two Original Black Ace 98 (86sq in) from the 80's. Other racket is a Prince Graphite 20th Edition Prototype. Obviously these are not made anymore, so I'm starting to look around for new racket replacements

Me too. Volkl Classic 7 Pro.

I bought possibly the last 2 brand new rackets in existence from Japan.

I am still waiting for them...it has been months, numerous mishaps, but they are supposedly on their way.

Also currently experimenting with the Yonex RD ti-70 long 98...also discontinued. Great racket nonetheless, with modification (leather + lead at 3 and 9)

just bought a third identical:
110 Prokennex Graphite Innovator from the-bay,
took months of web searching for the right one, since these racquets came out back in the early 90's

Had a good laugh with this, one of my two main rackets is the PS 85 (other is the K90), I make it a point to stop by my local thrift shop to check around every week. You would be surprised at what you can find at those shops, I have found some classic wood players rackets in impeccable condition there that I pick up from time to time, just waiting for a PS or two to show up! Fun scouring the for sales/auction sites just to see if you can score your favorite racket.:)

Come on - with almost every racquet being discontinued these days after two years or so (to make room for the newer, better marketing), I'm sure that 80% of players are playing with a discontinued frame.

Then again... there are the suckers who believe the marketing and buy a new racquet every two years...

Presently use PSC 6.1. Used to use Pro Tour and Rad Tour Twin Tube. Partially used to use MW200G and an i Prestige... Er, I think I qualify!?

I use the Volkl Tour 10 mp (gen 1).
"I" have been discontinued for 3 generations :p.

Nickb, if that's what you're looking for, I can get you plenty of Fischer Pro 1's Black/red/white 330 grams version for a pretty good price (for us Europeans...Americans are SPOILED !). Now shipping them from RO to the UK would cost some money...but if you buy a few it should be worth it.
I think you said you're using the 320 grams version ... but ... oh well, only the 330 and the 295 g ones are available around here.

Count me in.

I've played with 2 main frames, nBlade 98 and head flexpoint instinct. Both are discontinued.

My main stick is the MW 200G (I have three) which has long been discontinued. All of my back-ups are discontinued as well, PBP, RDX 500 mid, and the Ti Radical MP (for when my game is off).

tommy haas still uses a mw 200g. (the gray one) I saw him at river oaks international (non atp tournament) here in houston and he was using it.

What about all those players that currently use the I prestige or the Prestige Classic 600? Those are very popular rackets today still.

I'm pretty sure that Haas' racquet is a custom mold, but the MW 200G is the closest thing you and I can get. James Blake and a couple other guys (can't remember who) use the same mold as Haas.

Um...?

Is this the type of club where we reminisce about the ol'days, like when we had to walk to school uphill both ways in the snow, or play tennis with 2x4's and dirt clods, and stuff like that?

No?

Oh well... I guess I'm part of the club too with my discontinued Volkl Tour 8's. I'm currently sitting on 5 of them and have no intentions of switching anytime soon.
