Sweetspot is easier to find with mid

Yes, I don't know why, but when I've played with a midplus racquet from a friend, I hit more often with the frame.
I always hear about how hard is to find the sweetspot with mid, but in my case it's more hard with midplus or bigger.
Do you know why?

More variables than just head size are being tested here, so it isn't really an accurate conclusion to say that mids have bigger sweetspots than with mid+.

Hitting the frame? That has nothing to do with sweetspot size...

I know what your talking about. when I tried rackets bigger than 93 I seem to "lose" the ball on all that sweetspot that is offered.

string tension also plays a big role. generally, stringing looser opens up the sweet spot a bit, and with smaller head sizes, stringing looser becomes more feasible because of the reduced string length. sampras said the sweet spot on his ps 85 was walnut size, but that is with his super high tension. With a really low tension in the 40s, the sweet spot would be rather large.

"More easier?" Did you seriously title your thread including the term "MORE EASIER"? Way to go!
Perhaps it'll be "more easier" to find an English book.

My explanation is the mid racquet that I have is a PC600, so this racquet is heavier than my racquet's friend. So, the timing is different (the balance too)...

More likely the 40 year old twit... why do you really care about his English - a lot of forum members are foreign and don't have English as a primary language.

Don't like the script... go to a library and sulk.

Tho I can read it ok....

Perhaps it is because you have one of the finest pieces of tennis gear ever made....the original prestige. If you have it dialed in like an old friend why try anything else....

You might like my current stick of choice, the i prestige mp...a little more power...perhaps a little bigger sweet spot....

What mp models have you compared to the orig prestige?

Not being a native English speaker is no excuse for poor grammar and/or spelling. If you post on an English speaking board, you should at least try to be accurate with your language. Nobody gave me a break when I lived in Japan and made mistakes speaking and writing Japanese. If I confused "wa" and "ga" or even left out a tiny sentence particle, I'd usually hear about it. When I look back on it that was probably good because you definitely learn from your mistakes. It seems to me that English speakers are the most forgiving when it comes to foreigners making mistakes with the language.

Lo siento, pero no estoy del todo de acuerdo.
Yo diría que comparando, Sajones, Europeos, Orientales etc. Los latinoamericanos son los más permisivos con los errores del lenguaje hechos por extranjeros. Se lo toman con mucha más simpatía y festividad.
¿ Y quién dijo que no se hace el intento de ser preciso con la gramática? Creo que es apresurado juzgar las motivaciones.
Como ya alguien dijo, el inglés no es la primera lengua de muchos aquí.
Por otra parte, UN ERROR LO COMETE CUALQUIERA.
¿Falta de tolerancia? Quizás.

Perhaps we could suggest to include into the Policies a new rule:
"On this forum you only can write in a perfect "Shekespeare" English language. If you made a language mistake, you will be banned..."

Babolats (Pure drive, Storm, Control) and Wilsons (surge, npro open, 6.2, hammer...) and the ncode 6.1, I really like it!

Funny how our heads work, but when I look at my 98" Volkl C10, I see more stringbed area that's off center than let's say a smaller Yonex MP Tour-1 mid or the softer NXG mid which feels like the entire thing is a sweetspot. I just traded for a pair of those Yonexes and as soon as I strung one up, I took it out for some doubles and the thing gave me superior feel and control. Maybe the sweetspot feels so good on mids that we subconsciously just want to find it even more than with a larger head. We're only human, right?

I will say though, that I had a pretty long trial with a more recent offering from Head in a mid and the feel and balance were quite strange for me. It made the sweetspot rather elusive, so I think that the sweetspot is more "find-able" in any frame, especially a mid, as long as the heft and balance are in the neighborhood of what you are used to.
