Very entertaining article, but there's something about the timeline I don't quite understand: The article is dated today, 8/20/8, but when he mentions Rafa, steckley writes:
"Anyways, I got the call around 11pm from Tennis Canada asking me if I could warm Rafa up for the finals. I was thrilled to get a chance to hit with him as I had never had this chance before."
QUESTION: The finals of what?

Still, he is one lucky guy. To be able to hit with two of the greatest must be one heck of an experience. I got to hit with Puerta (lost in FO Finals to nadal), and I was flying high for days. Can't even fathom what it would be like to be on a court with one of those guys, much less both.

Maybe I've been reading too much Michael Connelley, but did we actually see him hitting with Rafa or Roger?
I'm for sure Rafa wasn't one of the guys on the youtube video.
Fed maybe.
For sure it showed him sitting and talking to Fed.
I DID see "those socks" talking to rafa, but that's all.

I'm pretty sure the subject of the OP must have occurred around Rogers Cup, but it's a mystery why that info was omitted from both the OP and the blog ~~ especially since the very nature of a blog is to be up-to-date or at least written about something that occured near the date posted.

The sign on the fence identifies the location as
the "Jesse Cynamon Court," which is one of the
Rogers Cup practice courts in Toronto, Canada.

Rob is referring to the Rogers Cup in Toronto, Canada. He was away at some tournaments so he just put the article together. That is why the date is a few days ago.

I can assure you that was Rafa in the youtube video, I was there earlier the day of the finals and I at a location that only media can go to and that is why we have that video from that view.

Informative articles all contain 4 basic elements:
who, what, when, where.
The linked article was missing the when and the where.
If the info had been in the article I would not have asked the question.
The question was prompted by the date of the article (aug 20)
being followed by the introductory phrase "My day started with"
and a few lines later, "warm Rafa up for the finals."
Hence my question, "The finals of what?" at 7:46 p.m. Kali time yesterday.
drak guessed it was Rogers Cup Toronto
and I thought he was probably correct.
So I went looking for myself.
And I found the answer.
Then I posted the answer at 2:04 a.m. Kali time.
For some reason, that rubbed you the wrong way
when you came along later at 4:19 a.m. Kali time.
I don't get it.

Some of them weren't the clearest possible,
but I saw others that made it crystal that
you were there and rob steckley is a fun guy.

It only took a few minutes until I realized that our God of tennis we call Roger Federer had lost his edge and confidence and was actually human. He was definitely not at the top of his game mentally and was struggling to find his timing and accuracy and I could see it was an effort to stay calm.
I can't believe he just said that. How would he know that after just practicing with him for few minutes.?? Roger is little off right now but i didn't think it was that noticible.
