Two legends at work. I love the way Roche throws the racket at 3:35. "what do I have to do to win against this guy?". Such beauty and finesse. Some of the passes from Laver are absolute beauties. What a backhand he had.
This is not a thread about this era or that era. We can not bring back wooden rackets, so plz don't debate just enjoy and appreciate.

Apologies if posted already.

I'm waiting for Nadal_Freak to say how stupid and boring this is, and that the season should be 100% clay, and thank god grass court tennis isn't played like this anymore.

All I have to say is, speed the grass up so we can see this type of tennis again. For gods sake baselining gets old reallly, really quickly.

I have to say... the serve and volleying on EVERY point gets a bit tedious and annoying to watch.

And I can't help but laugh at how often the one at the net gets passed.

That's a really cool video. The pace of the game is surprisingly very quick compared to some old Borg matches and other matches i've seen from that era.

Topspin groundies versus very flat ones. The other factor appears to be a more true bounce on the Aussie grass versus the somewhat funny bounces on the AEC grass.
