Why does Nadal usually play so poorly during the fall season?

Hmm...Let me see,Nadal has made finals/has won at Indian Wells,Miami,Montreal/Toronto,Beijing,Madrid(when it was HC),Dubai,Paris Masters,Chennai,Rotterdam.Those are pretty important tournaments.Not to mention the fact that he has a Olympic medal on fast HC and was won his first HC slam,AO 09'.He has also progressed in his worst Slam,making his first semifinal in USOpen last year.

Those my friends are great HC results no matter how you spin it.And to think that they were realised by a guy who is a natural claycourter,not HC player,who doesn't really have any HC weapons(no big serve,no flat hitting game).
I think people are confusing having a HC game to having good HC results.
Nadal has just as good or better results than Djokovic/Murray/Del Potro and those guys have a better HC game than Rafa.Nadal is way above average on HC.He is way more vulnerable there but results-wise he is the first 5 at least,if not the top 3,if we count HC masters and Slams.

But to answer the OP's question,Rafa burns out in that period of year because in these past year he has focused on starting strong and peaking in the spring and beggining of summer,at RG and WB.With this all or nothing play style he can't pace himself enough to reach the last part of the year in good shape.And the fact that most of the tournaments he plays are HC doesn't help either.
