I just picked up 2 BB 11 mids and want to go with gut, but VS is too expensive. I tried KLIPa armour pro this weekend and really liked it in a 17' at 59#. anyone using this string regularly that wants to share ony thoghts on it?
Is it durable?
How does it compare to VS gut?
Does it shed the coating quickly?
Any insight would be appreciated. The price is right for this string if it performs.

Basil, I love the AP 17g. It is one of the most durable guts I've used. (And I feel like I've used them all.) Personally, I like the VS at the low end of the range on my Redondo mids, but I string the AP a little above midpoint. The coating starts falling off while you're stringing, but it doesn't affect playability or durability.

I flip flop between the AP and the VS Team depending on availability as the Klip is often backordered.

I used to use it regularly until I discovered Global Gut. It's a bit stiffer than regular natural gut but much easier to string and more durable. After it breaks in and the white coating starts wearing off... it becomes a bit softer and more comfy to the arm.

I have 2 hard hours of hitting on the klip and it shows absolutely no fraying whatsoever. This string plays a well as I remember it to. Very comfy with good bite and power.
