BTW I like unique and I see no difference between TopSpin Cyberflash and Unique. I ordered both for that specific reason and tested side by side Cyberflash and Big Hitter and CyberBlue and UBH Blue and I am convinced they are made in the same place in germany and than repackaged for Topspin and Unique.

Hey Uvijek small world this internets lol

You should have contacted me I am dying to hit. I am laying off of serves for a little while but we could have at least drilled backhand to backhand or forehand to forehand a bit...if I can hit the corners still lol...

-Goran

I will write you here next week to see when we can meet, maybe Monday or Tuesday. Or if its better for you in the weekends let me know. I have x-mas break from my college, so I'm good for next week anytime.

In other things, a big reason that I hurt my elbow was playing a match with Dunlop balls. I found them awful to play with and I try to avoided as much possible if somebody brings them, I always bring my own balls which are the penn/head ATP (hard court). I don't know if I'm crazy or too picky, but did anybody of you guys feel the same about tennis balls?

dunlop work fine for me as well as penn or wilson. maybe u just tried to hit them too hard. what stroke did u hit when u hurt your elbow (serve, groundstroke, overhead, etc) ?

I didn't know it by stroke, didn't happen at once, just started feel weaker during the match until i couldn't hold the racquet any longer. More than anything I change since May from 2 HBH to 1 HBH, and never developed a strong muscle in the forearm until now. But Dunlop balls I find them very hard, kinda have the same problem playing clay court, always leave with pain in shoulder and elbow.
If i have extra money to have 2 more racquets for clay so I can string them with lower tension will be perfect of course.
Now talking about tennis balls again, after getting some tennis balls from the Miami Open practice, like them very much and since then, never change. I guess its hard to explain, that's why I was asking if I being to picky or something :?

remember those pressureless balls that were hard as rocks. can't recall if it was spaulding or whatever.

One Californian guy that I hit with tall me something about some pressureless balls, but didn't understood to well at the moment that he said it.
Have you guys ever knew Babolat those balls?? I just find out in the come back game of Nalbandian vs Gaudio.
Here is the link with pics of those balls:

I had some bad experiences some good experiences with dunlop. They last the longest but some are really crappy. I think that there are levels of dunlop balls I just did not pay enough attention to distinguish between all. I like Penn prolly the best and wilson us open is not bad. I dont really care I guess I am just so happy to be out there hitting that I would hit potatoes if I had to :)...

I do remember one time somebody brought these balls for a league match (something we are required to do) and they really were like rocks like somebody taped some fuzz on a round rock and I did experience like I was getting tired just by hitting them maybe from vibrations i dont know but I remember asking him to open my can (the one that winner is suppose to take)

So any chance we can organize a meetup in one of the local parks Ft Gatlin, Lk Cane or Winter Park area? Some doubles or Aust Singles whatever. I mean all of you guys. I would like to get to know more people here locally. I usually keep to myslef but tennis requires some degree of social skills lol

If I can get 2 matches out of it, then that will be fine for now. Just gotta think of the arm and not the wallet. I may try the Jay Berger type serve for awhile to see if that helps my elbow out.

BTW did you try Head intellitour or intellistring 17? Its rated softer than Maxim at 136 lbs/in vs Maxim's 153 lbs/in

In fact that is softest string measured besides Nat gut of course and I am sure you thought about using natty gut...

The downside is poor tension maintenance of head strings...

Lots of good reviews on Maxim Touch, so I figured I would start there. Plus it was easy to find cheap shipping.

I'm not worried about tension maintenance. The last time I used a 17g Gosen synthetic gut I think it lasted me 14 games.

Yeah already take the plunge. Hey I live in Daytona but work in Orlando, so after the christmas we can definitely work some stuff out. I'm only a 3.5 so take it easy on me! :)

Can you ever make it down for an hour or two on the weekends if we do a meetup?

I work on the weekends but only in the morning, so if we were to play it could after work?! If that is ok with you?
My schedule for the next I haven't seen as yet, but I'll keep you posted on that.

I'm at the same point with my elbow that I was at a week ago. The difference is that I'm going to rest this go around and not let the lack of pain fool me again. My wife is starting to get tendinitis in her left knee from running. I keep trying to emphasize how important the rest component is otherwise you'll have to take an even longer break down the road.

Dgoran, I use a 16x19 pattern. I'm going to buy a Prince EXO3 Mid plus, which is 16x18. I figured I'd try it out since it is almost the same exact specs as my Radical. I miss the days of thin 100% graphite sticks, so I'm glad someone still makes them in a modern version.

The Big Hitter seems just like the CyberFlash, except there is a break in period I don't remember having with the CF. Great strings though..I would not use them with a stiff racquet..i learned the hard way with my Tfights and APDC.

Hej Mikeler I did the same mistake lol. I thought to my self My Arm feels fine no more pain only to come back after tennis with my arm attached to my shoulder what felt like a piece of string lol.

I re-inflamed everything in there again :)

But I am an addict I get angry if I dont play at least against my house for longer than 48 hrs lol. When I travel I go through withdrawals (I hope I spelled "withdrawals" correctly) like junkie in jail

Hej PowerPlayer I feel the same that is why after damoing everything in sight I stick with Pro Tours.

I still demo for fun but nothing feels quite like plain ol' flexi braided graphite frame with 20 constant beam.

Once you go big Blue and Black you never go back...lol

...errr that sounded gay

The reason I was asking is when I used heavier open string pattern racket (K90 for example) I could not feed it enough strings that thing was eating strings for breakfast really was an expensive ordeal.

Hey Mikeler please do the rest thing. It will be beneficial for you in the long run. Tennis will always be there when you return in top form.

Yeah man..I string low too with full poly. Another super key part of it. I think you should only use full poly if you use a western grip and heavy spin. You can get away with low tensions due to the spin you put on the ball. I would not string cyberflash higher then 54#s full, and I will drop it to 52#s on the Prince..one of the reasons I am trying the racquet. I want to be able to string as low as possible full poly and use a flexible racquet. I can probably get it to 53#s with the Rad Pro before it get's tough to control.

The Rad Pro has enabled me to play with full poly, low tensions though..I could not go lower then 55#s with the apdc.

I agree. The Citrus is the only tournament I play all year and I was hoping that it would be ready in time for it. With no more deadlines, I'm going to take it easy for a while.

I like the 16 mains for spin potential. I've always used 16 x 19 until I got my new sticks which are 16 x 20. Two less strings for me to tension too!

Forgot to mention that I did try the 15L Gamma Synthetic Gut in the tournament last week. It was very boardy feeling like every other 15 I've played with. I could definitely tell it was stiffer than it's 16 gauge counterpart that I'm so familiar with.

Great idea, not sure why it did not come through. My little guy got to play with his 7 cousins and had a blast. Funny, I hardly got any gifts this year, but he got a ton! Hope your Xmas was great too. Now if I can start the New Year with no elbow pain, that will be the best gift of all.
