Hi folks,

I just want to know, according to you, which string is better in terms of spin access, and control ?

MSV Focus Hex. No doubt about it.

I was very excited to try Blue Gear a couple of months back. So disappointed. Good access to spin, but such a dead feeling. Control was pretty good, I guess. No matter how hard to hit the ball, you can't get any pace on it. The ball just floats (with spin) over the net.

MSV Focus Hex has great access to spin, has great feel, and amazing control (with power).

Depends on your style of play.

If you want more topspin then blue gear is the way to go.

The spin on these strings is insane and control is mad. But feel really is aorta dead.

I'm trying out pro supex big ace as well. It's the same string but without all the jagged edges on the string.

I think the best compromise is pro supex big ace.

I felt the Blue Gear had a bit more spin, but the effect wore off after a while where I consistently got good bite into the ball with Focus Hex. Control wise I had more with the Focus Hex I felt, was a better allround string compared to the blue gear which was stiff on my arm.

I found msv hex had far less power. That's not a bad thing ....just depends on your style.

If you want "automatic" topspin regardless of your stroke then blue gear is the way to go. But if you are more accomplished then msv might ne better.

It's sorta like the difference between a players racquet amd a game improvement racquet. Blue gear is like a game improving string if that makes Any sense?

But I found pro supex big ace to be just right! Perfect compromise between the two.

Big Ace has good spin access ?!

Big Ace has good spin access ?!

It has everything. It's just the right balance of everything .

Greatest string I hbe ever played with . In blind tests it got incredible reviews from the usrsa testers .

The testers were given a bunch of strings to try out like msv, lux, technofbre. Bla bla bla. They were NOT told what they were playing with .

Virtually all the testers picked pro supex as the greatest string .

I only have one complaint. They go dead ether quickly . But while they are alive no string is better.

Blue Gear gives much much more spin. But it is more stiffer. And it is a love it or hate string. Focus Hex is softer. Best to try both and see which you like.

I didn't like Bleu Gear at normal tensions, but it seems to be great at 30lbs. I think the extra stiffness is a plus at that tension.

I've had a bit of TE problem in recent years which now gives me a great feel of how stiff or comfortable a string is. Blue gear took a dozen hits only to see how stiff it is. Hex was great besides the tension loss

In my experience so far a full bed of BG isn't that good, personally BG mains with Big Ace was about as good as it gets.
MSV Focus Hex was a joy to hit with. In terms of feel and tension stability, it wins. Now if you bust out the MSV (1.10) it just stomps out the BG/BA combo IMO as far as auto-spin neither will give you that it just enhances the spin you already have.
But in the end of it all your just gonna have to try it for yourself

Yeah most people say the same about blue gear as you do. I guess I am in the minority because I love blue gear and Im not fond of Hex.
