Is it true the mesh of the 2.3 shoe breaks really easily and realy fast, and the sole wears out also really fast?
I've read some comments which say its a terrible shoe, but other that say its amazing.
Im trying to find a she to replace my vapor V's but i cant find a better shoe, definetly the V's are the best vapors ever made.
What do you think?

i don't know who said the 2.3s are bad but those people are morons. The cb shoes last very long, even a year if you're not a shoe thrasher. If you think the vapors are good, cbs are better. Heavier but better.

Vapor V lasts me 1.5 months. Ballistec Air Max Sole lasts me >5 months.

I will post pics of my only issue with the 2.3 mesh.

Being a toe dragger on backhand slices at times, I've been wearing mine down in a wierd way.

Nah the mesh doesnt break all that easily. Fantastic shoe all around. The durability is nothing less than remarkable.

Lol...I think you got it mixed up. Vapors have bad durability. CB's have good durability.

I've had a pair of CB's for over 4 months now and there are no holes. Although I plan to send them in /w my 6 month guarantee because it feels like I'm playing on a slip and slide because the soles are so flattened. However, I'm still amazed at how much rubber they put on the soles of these shoes.

Here is how the mesh wears for extreme left foot toe drag.

I had the same wear down for my black pair but not all the way through.

well i live in Peru at the momento, and obviously here all courts are red clay courts.. wich are really easy on the soles. My Vapors V's have lasted mi 7 months playing constantly, and the feel i get from them is excelent, so the sole durability i dont think is a problem. My main worry was about the mesh and durability of the shoe itself and the confort. Thanks for the coments guys, after reading all of those im definetly buying them.

+1 for the vapor v being the best shoe ever made! I've owned 6 pair, and i only have two left, both of which are on their last legs. none of the shoes nike has brought out since the vapor v were comfortable at all to me. so i finally broke down and got a couple of good deals on a pair of barricade v's and a pair of propulse 2's which i'll be using this summer... chances are i'll fall in love with the barricade v then they'll be completely phased out in favor of the vi or the same thing with the propulse 2's... sigh!

Have you tried the 2.3s? I have had the B5s, V5s, PP2 and the 2.3s (plus many others that you didn't mention)...the 2.3s are a hybrid between a B5 and a V5/PP2. They take the best qualities of both type of shoe and morphed it into the 2.3.

Stability/durability/warranty like a B5 and quickness/feel of the V5/PP2. It's a must try.

You are right handed right? How in the world do you slide on the outside of the midsole like that????

On backhand extreme slices I think this is where I'm doing it...I curl my foot over alot...I probably do this maybe once a match so don't think I have some kind of hideous 3.0 slice form...lol.

Nike CB 2.3 in blue = GSOAT.
Just brilliant, super comfy, durable and really good looking.

Nah black are GSOAT.

I like my blues but they don't match much of my clothes.

So I just got the confirmation from TW that my white grey black 2.3 are on the way.

Sending warranty shoes to TW rocks. I didn't even burn a hole through the black 2.3s although they got bald really bad.

TW received my Black 2.3 Friday and ships me out a FREE new white grey black pair Monday.

Don't ever send your shoes to NIKE!

TW rules.

:)

The mesh on my black/grey is cracking where it flexes for your toes. It isn't anything that will affect function, but it is aesthetically disturbing. It isn't very noticeable unless you pick at it and peel it off.

If Vapors last you 7 months, you will have no worries with the 2.3s

JD, I had the exact same problem with the toe guard on my CB 1.3.

That's way I switched over to the vapors, is TW considering that defective?

G

My blacks weren't holed out all the way through at the toe. I was worried about moisture and and water getting my toes wet, which I HATE.

I think the material you see in the pic above I posted is pretty sturdy. Although it does look like clothy mesh, easily breakable material. But so far all is good. I don't think these wear out parts of the shoe would qualify for a warranty.

TW took my black CB 2.3 with really bald soles, no hole.

I'm still a big fan of the CB 2.3. Free pair arriving Friday. Ah, the joys of free Nike's.
