I think Rampage is the better fighter, and will most likely win. I think Rashad can beat with a lucky punch, but other than that forget it. Rampage is stronger in the clinch, has knocked big names out, much improved defense since Pride. Rashad has fast overhand punches and haymakers, but if Rampage prepares, I can't see that landing. I see Rampage pushing him around the whole time.

Hard to say but i thnik Rampage is gonna win.Though really getting tired of hearing Rampage's mouth as of late.Plus i wasn't too impressed how he was acting during Ultimate Fighter...Rashard wasn't that much better but at least he wasn't as bad as Rampage.

Rampage by knockout. Rashad is going to come out with a smart gameplan, but he will get hit and his chin will be the downfall.

The only way Rashad can win is by decision, through good takedowns, and sticking and moving.

Good pick. Boring fight, though. Really no damage done, just getting take downs and hanging on for 95% of the fight. I am starting to think 5 rounds should be made for fights where both guys are in the top 10, or one guy is in the top 5. Tough to determine those rankings, however. You just feel like Rashad couldn't finish him if it went 4 or more rounds. I just don't like 3 round fights. It is like the 1st and 2nd rounds the goal is to hold the guy down and get the benefit of the doubt. Then run the last round and only take easy opportunities while the other guy opens himself up to big mistakes due to needing a KO. If this was Pride, I think the yellow card might have been used tonight.

Rampage did a decent job of stopping Rashad's takedowns. But that ended up with him getting clinched against the cage.

Rashads gotta bring more than that to the table against Shogun. Page really showed the rust of being of for 14 months and cutting 45lbs.

The Dufee vs Russow fight was incredible. Russow has a chin that much we know. And the little lefty slap after Dufee was out was hilarious.

So much for the Evans Jackson rivalry... Rampage wanted to bang with him and Rashad just fought to win. It was a huge disappointment, especially considering the months upon months of hype and trash talk. I think Rashad embarrassed himself out there, so much talk and cockiness just to avoid banging with Rampage (along with how he was acting in the ring during the fight). I figured this would happen though after it was announced that the winner would get a title shot. Realistically though, I would have done the same thing because a title shot and $ are way more important than a rivalry battle.

However, I really don't think Rashad deserves a title shot this soon after being so thoroughly dismantled by Machida, but the UFC is lacking in the light heavyweight division anyway.

That fight could have gone either way, presumably you're american like the "bullsh1+" chanting audience... incredibly disrespectful to a legend like little nog

Nope, not American. Seems to me you're the biased one (looking at your name). Clearly lil nog was not the winner of that fight.

You called it. Hard to believe Rampage's coaches did such a bad job of getting him ready for what everyone knew was coming.

wow brilz got robbed.
Yes he did - no matter what the Brazilian guy below says. The booing was directed at the judges, not the fighter who got a gift W.

That was something else. Sports bar I was at went wild. Russow could have done some serious facial damage if he weren't such a good person.

Anyone else getting annoyed that all of the guys out of Jackson's seem to be going more towards decision hunting. It just seems to me that Jackson's is encouraging slow fights that end up in decisions. I remember in a GSP fight he told him to just stay in guard and dont try to pass or really do anything inbetween rounds. Might be smart advice but makes for a slow boring fight.

The Bisping fight certainly backs your theory. Looked like he had Miller hurt a few times and could have swarmed him and finished him. Chose to back up, wait, and re-engage and just score enough points to earn the victory.

Bisping fights out of Wolf's Lair. Mav was talking about Greg Jackson's camp.

I thought you were talking about Jackson - as in Rampage. And when you mentioned GSP I thought of Hardy - not sure but being a Brit I figured he worked out of the Lair too.

Dana White even commented on this in his post-event press conf - and the booing from the live crowd - of guys not to just trade. Privately I'm sure he's (or should be) a little worried - too many technical fights and interest in UFC is going to drop - I don't think people are going to pay to watch no-names slug it out and watch the stars fight too cautiously.

I think the fight was pretty even, it definitely could have gone either way... and no I'm not brazilian, I'm american :)

I encourage you to watch it again
