Nadal has 2 majors so far and he may never win Wimbledon or a hard court major. Nadal might finish at 5 majors if he's lucky (all French) and I have a feeling he won't even reach that number.
Hihihihihihihihihi

I seee my Nadal winning 47 slams. He will plays the next 15 years and win every French Open to give him 17 there. He will 2 out of every 3 Auastralian Open, US Open, and Wimbledons to give him 10 of each. I think that makes 47, yeah 15 + 10+10 +10 =47. So will my Nadal win 47 slams in his career, or more, if you mean more vote yes. Wont he wint that on the other hand with 47 being too many. Vote your choice.

Yes,just 41 more to go :).

8 down, 39 to go, thank you very much!:D

38 and counting

The OP miscalculated in her OP... as 15 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 45, not 47

Therefore, 9 down and only 36 more to go!:grin:

Exhilly-rating :)! :)! :)!
The fans of yesteryear, when everything was possible, the sky was blue, the grass was green and Rafa's kneecaps were made of steel... where are they now, those enthusiasts?
Banned, most of them.
We live in serious times, folks. Take heed.

Thanks for taking the time to go through this 200-post thread to research all of the post history in meticulous detail. I hope you won’t hold it against me if I don’t spend the time to replicate your effort and confirm your claims. Is it safe to assume that every time I (allegedly) bumped the thread, you chimed in within 24 hours to issue passionate comments about your feelings about poster SoBad bumping a thread of poster nadalgirl26?:D

He will win many many more than 47. At least 147 is my best guess. His body will allow him to play untill he is 80

She did ban herself, but was hardly a dummy and most certainly had the ability to add (and read).

P.S. 2 + 45 = 47

Let me guess... you're the formerly banned Nadalgirl26

Otherwise, why keep bumping this thread?

BTW, here's what you wrote in the OP:

Now, go away dummy.

I wonder if he'll even win as many as Fed., mainly because Nadal has the weak knees and we'll see how long they hold out for him.

She was banned in May 2006... then you pop up in Aug 2006

I must admit that this unusual mix of paranoia and delusional slander is somewhat entertaining in this otherwise serious thread. Your cyber-forensic investigative skills seem on par with your reading comprehension ability and arithmetic. You are probably a busy guy who hasn’t had a chance to spend enough time on the forum to figure out the difference between “join date” and “ban date”. You seem like a man of great intelligence and knowledge, and I hope that you find the time in your busy schedule to get to know the forum better in the near future, and perhaps post a little bit more often than you have been in the past. For avoidance of doubt, I most surely remember having many productive and frank debates on professional tennis with nadalgirl26, god bless her kind heart, well into late 2006 and mid 2007.

This is the greatest thread ever

I agree with you – this thread serves as the quintessential intragenerational learning resource of the forum.

Revival skills are a necessity nowadays, people with these skills should be valued and exalted. They could save YOUR life one day.

This thread is disturbingly atrocious.

Not it isn't. The 47 slams theory is classic stuff.

It may have been proven wrong, but also Newtonian physics was proven wrong and not because that we consider Newton lost his importance, do we? As in literature, we need to keep the classics alive.

Well, unlike Newtonian physics, the theory hasn’t been proven wrong. The Nadal slam gap originally conjectured by the analysts through the prism of the classic NG26 school of thought now stands at 33, the age of Jesus.

This excellent thread spawned/inspired about 4-5 copy-cat threads/parodies, and "47" became the magic number of slams that the latest winner of any match/round would achieve. Thus, in those glorious days, we would have seen a thread about Dustin Brown "willing 47 slams, or more, or not that many?".

At the same time, "will" became a verb which began to mean "being successful in acquiring some prized possession by merely willing"

Haha, and I thought the trolling was getting worse these days. Clearly these people were on a whole other level.
Aah yes, the good old days, when trolls were really trolls, and there were some great posters like yourself.

Did you become a coach, good friend, or go down some other road ?

Rightyo then!

14 down, a mere 33 to go!!

With his shaky clay form this year(still manages to win RG, weak clay era and whatnot) and bad knees I fear for the bull...

Flashnews for you:
15+10+10+10 != 47.

Simple basic math.

If you want to include two he already won you write:

2+15+10+10+10 = 47

Thank you very much.

You are some kind of rare genius

No. Far from it. This is a basic 2nd grade match. However, obviously, it is still a problem for nadalgirl or SoBad to comprehend. So had to be written down.

Sorry if that upset you.

Pretty desperate attempt to extract chunks of text out of context, but not too surprising, coming from you. The “15+10+10+10” was not posted in vacuum, but rather in the context of Nadal’s two slam titles at the time. Most people have enough background in maths to add 2 to a double-digit number!
