3-0 for murray. The 5.0 would retire from murray making him run so much.
Isn't Querrey a 5.0?
EDIT: My mistake....the OP specified a GOOD 5.0.
Take a good 5.0 player and let him play a set against Murray
Murray has to start every game down 2 points and Murray is limited to one serve.
What do you think the score would the score be if they played one set?
LOL,,,,5.0 player ????? are you kidding ? Murray's 2nd serve has so much spin, the guy would probably miss the return 80% of the time. 2 points down ?? Murray would just over-power 5.0 player. YOu have NO idea how hard these pros hit. Murray's routine what you think is soft groundies are faster than most of the College level guys.
Start teh 5.0 player UP 6-0 and 4-0. then tell Murray he has to play every game 0-40 down. then you may have a match.
Lol the 5.0 could start up 6-0 4-0 and Murray would STILL win in straight sets.
Lol the 5.0 could start up 6-0 4-0 and Murray would STILL win in straight sets. He would win so convincingly, the 5.0 would actually lose the set he was awarded.
Imagine a 2.5 playing a 5.0. That's about how competitive it would be.
Fail.
..........
^^^ +16-0 6-0 Murray. Not even close. I'd put money on it AND give you odds.
You took my post out of context. Read the last part and maybe you won't miss the joke? Fail.
whis is this thread inthe odd and end section
it is a fail. Because you have the 5.0 winning the first set 6-0. So then it can't be a straight sets victory for Murray. Thus, leading on your fail.
Lol the 5.0 could start up 6-0 4-0 and Murray would STILL win in straight sets. He would win so convincingly, the 5.0 would actually lose the set he was awarded.
+1
It's kind of sad to see a great thread like this get limited and less qualified attention than what could have been under the ProPlayer forum. What I find even more outrageous is that people commenting on this topic are not having full credit for their work reflected in their post count. I would say the OP's actions are somewhat inconsiderate and disrespectful.
I think it has already been established who the disrespectful one around here, your other post speak volumes.
There are some good 5.0s with huge serves.
If you have a good player going for everything on both first and second serves and attacking second serves on return I think he would be able to win a couple of games considering the handicaps placed on Murray.
I would not be surprised if the score was 6-0 but my guess would be 6-2.
sobad,
This thread is an example of how you like to troll.
Whatever floats your boat.

Absolutely. Are the others really this naive, or are they just kidding?A 5.0 serve no matter how good has nothin on a guy who is top 5 in the world.

Yes but if Murray starts every game down 0-40,,,and if the 5.0 guy gets lucky letcords on few shots....you never know.....could have an upset and Andy would get so pissed,,,he will fly back to england..
Define good 5.0.
SEBASTIAN QUINTERO was 750 in the world in 04, is currently 27 years old, and has gone 3 sets with Alejandro Falla, you know, the guy who about knocked Federer out of Wimby in the first round.
He was world ranked up until 2005, 2 years before he started playing 5.0. Played 5.0 for 07, 08, and 09 before getting bumped to 5.5. He also plays 9.0 and 10.0 mixed, so that 546 world ranking in dubs has to help out his lady 4.0 partner.
I'd give the dude a chance with your rules.
J
OR how about a computer rated 5.0 like you?
The kind that has a USTA team 0 - 9 for the entire season and their leading man who is top 10 in their section not able to win a match?
Then I'd say the 5.0 has no chance ya?
There are some good 5.0s with huge serves.
