Nice! It says "Allez Monfils" inside the throat and that would be his silhouette between those words :D

:/

is the bag for sale? :D

Japanese rebel racket comes with a soft case. you can't buy the soft case separately. I tried several times but no luck. I got the bag when I bought Japanese rebel 105".
BTW Japanese racket always comes with nice soft case ^_^
but rackets are twice or even three times expensive than US.

I used waterslide decals for everything.
the paper was not easy to print with a laser printer. inkjet might be much easier.

I will post more pics from beginning how I did it ^_^
I need direct sunlight to take better picture
two straight rainy days :(

You are an artist.

I suggest swapping the yellow grommets with the black ones for the Rebel Team. I think black would look better.

I use Japanese rebel 95 and 105. I like slightly more power of 105 but I like 95 control more. Actually I sold two Japanese rebel 95 but now I want more Japanese rebel 95. since Japanese rebels price were dropped recently but still about $190 so I decided to experiment with US rebel team version.

I didn't want to spend $$$ for this so looked up sales section and found the rebel team racket. paid $40 shipped and grip size was 4. it was perfect to build grip and add some weight ^_^

somewhat reason, I like metalic/candy orange color so I decided to have three colors. Black for top, bottom for orange and throat for red.

I did not know there are many paint materials at home so I did not buy many painting materials (I used to paint Radio control car body so I have Air brush and some leftover paints). even I found paint removal spray on my closet.

painting is 90% of patient hahaha.
also paint removal might be 70% of the work. rest of works are easier.

used paint removal spray then start to remove after one hour but I should let it sit for 2 - 3 hours. I did not want any strong spray material get into the racket so only waited for an hour but the paint is still hard to remove.

used sandpaper and stripped most of paint. I should completely stripped and sand down. I was impatient so I left some spots. I thought surface was smooth but it was not. Once again patient is the key hahaha.

clean the racket then used prime (I did three coats of prime but I did very thin coat each time and used wet sandpaper (1000 grits) between each coat to smooth out the surface. I did not take a pic though).

I will post more later ^_^

I thought about too but I like multi-colors.
there is one more reason (I already had several yellow port inserts so I did not want to spend $$$ to get black color team version of inserts hahaha).
Also thought about paint port inserts but I might have a problem to put it into the o3 hole because of thickness of paint so I decided to use yellow port inserts). If I decided to put black inserts, I might change the color for top part ^_^

the second part. day two.
next day, I painted the racket with metalic black color first. (before that I put tissues in every grommet holes)
I used water based paint because they are easy to clean, non toxic material and does not smell bad but easy to scratch though.

I put three coats with air brush. each coat, I waited about two-three hours.
then another three coats of metalic orange (actually, I mixed the color). I did not use wetsand method (obviously-because of waterbased paint haha).

next day, I painted throat with red color (only one coat though).

it looked too plain so I decided to paint small amount of orange inside of black painted part of racket to create sparkling effect.

I let it dry for at least two days.

now it's time for decals.
my original idea was just "prince" "EXO3" and "REBEL"
but it might be fun to add monfils's caricature and crown.
I used graffiti letters and I wanted to have black outline and yellow letters.
unfortunately, decal paper company sent wrong paper. I ordered white paper but they sent the clear one. I did not know until I applied the first decal  since I used waterbased paint I can't took out decal otherwise I need paint all over again so I applied every decals then I realized that it will be fun to add monfils name, and Allez plus my name on the racket so I added later. 4 hours later, I can see yellow letters and some colors in decals.

unfortunately, as soon as I applied clear coats, the yellow color letters became orange color
I think I put 5 clear coats. I barely see yellow letters in direct sunlight and looks like 3D effect though hahaha. I try to take good pics of it but camera can't catch the 3D effect

I put lead tape and grip builder at handle then finished with my replacement grip.
will string tomorrow then will see how the racket will be played. unstrung weight was just below 310g (10.8oz).

anyway, I can't say it was fun project but it's unique to have my own customized racket ^____^
I hope it will be similar to my Japanese rebel 95.

is there any big differences between the japanese and american versions?

Japanese rebel has two different head sizes.
one for 95", the other for 105" but looks like 100" because of head shape.

Japanese rebel 95 is lighter 310g vs US version (don't remember exact weight but it was around 330g).

105" is 1mm thicker than 95" and string pattern is 18x19.
105 has a slightly more power and 27.25" length.

95" has more control though (maybe because of string pattern of 18x20).
