Very interesting matchup. As things stand right now, Berankis is world #73, Raonic #74, six points separating them -- so the the winner goes the higher spot, #2 in the Young Guns behind Nishikori.
I like Raonic in two tough sets, but it could go either way. I just don't think Berankis can return well enough.

Well good luck with your Berankis support... I am a bit giddy with a Canadien player doing pretty well! Getting to a Quarters of an ATP 250...is rare...sometimes Dancevic does the odd showing!

Berankis doesn't need luck, he has skill. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy for Raonic performance, and even happier for Canada on their successful extradition of talent from Chernogoria. Should be a very watchable match.

Depends if Berankis can get some returns into play with interest, which he usually does but after watching him lose a set to the one and only Donald Young after blowing numerous opportunities I'll just have to go with Raonic in 2.

Whoever wins, these 2 have a big future in tennis. I think Berankis is very similar to Nalbandian in terms of technique and ball striking. This week has been the first time I've properly watched him and I have been very impressed. Raonic has an unbelievable serve with good groundstrokes too! In terms of pure tennis ability I think Berankis wins hands down but that serve gets a lot of cheap points for Raonic and he has a massive forehand too so it could go either way but here's hoping for a good match... and a Berankis win!

Berankis has played pretty poorly this week. He can do much better. His return of serve is his best shot and it's looked pretty average this week.

everybody's been pretty impressed with the quality of the veetle transmission, except when usage gets high for the evening matches ... then the HD is pretty much unusable due to pixels breaking up
other thing is that, for instance, morning/afternoon matches don't have any cameras on court, just have that one end view ... but they do have the court cams working for the singles matches after 7:00 p.m. local Cali time
