That pic of Sampras and Monfils looks like an ad for some kind of buddy movie, and someone had some fun with the highlighter markers in that AO group photo. :)

^^Thanks CCNM. Chris Evert was my favorite player. I've never really rooted for a female player the way I did for her. As a junior, she was amazing to watch. She was tough as nails too, underneath that veneer of the "Ice Maiden", who gets my vote for being the coolest female player ever. Graf is up there too in my book. Of course Martina is an all time great too, but I was always rooting for Evert. Evert should have gone to graphite earlier in my opinion, but sorry for the long post here.

Hey borg-number-one, you're thirty years too late to the party buddy! You should camp out in the former pro player section, not here.

That is so rude. Borg_Number_One has posted tons of pictures of modern pros. I find his picture collection of former pros to be very intriguing as well. Seriously, the guy posted a picture of Bjorn Borg with Muhammad Ali.....that is as cool as a picture gets.

Also, the OP did not specify that all pictures need to be of modern pros.

The subject of the thread is "coolest pictures of pros" and you can't get any cooler than Borg. If you had to stick to current pros only, the thread would be quite limited.

But as Sid_Vicious stated, BN1 has posted great pictures from all eras.

Nikdom, newsflash, Tennis began more than five years ago. I swear it did. To a large extent Mr. Borg started this whole "party". I've been watching the Game closely every year since the 70's, so I actually realize that this "party" didn't start in just this century. If you only focus on the current players of today Nikdom, sorry but you're missing out on so much in terms of perspective. Thanks SV and SusanDK, I do appreciate tennis in every era, not just the current one. Yet, you can tell how much I'm a fan of Bjorn Borg.

^That's an extremely nice picture at Roland Garros. It's quite dramatic. I love the colors especially.

Who's the curly-haired guy? I remember Yannick's dreadlocks (and being quite surprised that there were "black" people in France-I was about 6-8 years old). I'm glad Rafa got rid of those tank tops. He looks like a mature, serious player now.

CCNM, that's Jose Luis Clerc from Argentina. He was a great clay courter, who beat McEnroe at the French Open for example. He was a top ten player in the Borg era. By about 1980, he was as good as the older Vilas on red clay. Check him out here when he lost the 1981 French Open SF to Lendl. Borg beat Lendl in that final.
