He's going to play Stepanek, Kendrick, Soderling in Barcelona.

He's seeded, (15), but only the top 8 seeds get a bye:

http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2011/425/mds.pdf

Tough again, but let's hope he gets to Soderling. Stepanek is very tricky with his style.

Great experience.

He will be number 30 on Monday and every and any player he gets to play against is a tremendous learning situaton for him, And he has the advantage of meeting the best early in his career,

>Is sportsnet.ca going to stream Raonic's match on Tuesday in Barcelona? You may be the only resource left. Not shown at other sites.

Thanks for your recent email. Unfortunately, we have no plans to broadcast that match. Our apologies.

Says Tebbutt on Raonic:
---
Watching Milos play Simon Greul on Wednesday night, I was very impressed at how committed he is to his tennis.

He is constantly urging himself on and is hyper competitive. You can just tell how much it means to him.

If you compare him with a player like Ernests Gulbis, the Latvian who comes from a wealthy family and has crazy good ball-striking ability, everything comes out in Raonic's favour.

Gulbis likes hitting bolt ground-stroke winners and clever drop shots, but if he misses, and especially if he loses a match, you don't get the feeling that it really hurts that much.

With Milos, he feels those kinds of disappointments profoundly and uses them to motivate himself. That's a big reason he has such a bright future - he really cares.

The under-achieving Gulbis, 22, has said that he has thought of retiring. That is surely something that you don't expect to hear from Milos, 20, at a comparable stage in his career.

Another thing that was noticeable here in Barcelona was how well he is moving on the clay. Often a big-hitting North American, Andy Roddick and Pete Sampras come to mind, would come over to Europe and it was obvious how uncomfortable they were with the traction they (don't) get on clay compared to hard courts.

Milos doesn't fight it and has readily accepted the challenge of mastering the game on the red clay.

Daniel Nestor has seen it all in 20 years on the tour. He's sold on Milos. "He's playing great. It's a good sign when he's winning matches every week on every surface. I think it's only a matter of time before he really breaks through one week. Hopefully it happens at a Grand Slam. That's where he really wants it because he has already won a (ATP) tournament."

MR lost in a hard played in a very competitive match to Lopez in R1 in Madrid, having got to R 3 in Barcelona,& Monte Carlo, and the semis of Estoril. This is the 4th clay court ATP tournament he has played. And he is barely 20 years old.

Once again Raonic kept his on court focus and demeanor, mature beyond his years, with a big game and huge talent.

Bet 365 starts Rome on May 9 so there should be streams available on the usual sites I would think. Don't know when sportsnet stream starts.

Theoreticly TSN is showing RG live. The upside is that they are showing many hours of taped tennis, a Tennis Channel/ESPN? feed as far as I can see. So if you want to see "Live " tennis, don't look at results and watch it on TSN at your leisure both ATP and WTA. They may in fact show really LIVE tennis next week, . RDS is also showing RG.

Of course Livescorehunter is still a great source of live matches. Betting sites like Bet365 aren't showing the slams.

Go/allez/ajmo Milos!

I like their games.

I guess I like Canadian tennis now.

This result from Rebecca surprised me, because she doesn't move well at all, and HC and grass would suit her better because of how hard she hits, but I hope she keeps going and defeat Kuznetsova as well.
