I think we know what time it is. No knock on Lopez though he is a dangerous threat on any surface at any time, you just never know when he's gonna bring his A game.
Some... people are on the pitch, they think it's all over!
It is-
oh wait, it's just the Umpire checking a mark. Carry on.
I was just yoking around...annoyed with some talking hypothetically about a match!
Well done by Roger, he escaped what would have been a devastating loss. You could sense the doom and gloom from the crowd who respect Roger so much they did not get totally into the match, very subdued tension from the packed house who don't want to see Federer fade away just yet. I beleive this guilty feeling affected F-Lo on that easy overhead. He wanted it but in a way he didn't want it. It's so tough to slay the legend. Federer survives, but just barely.
Not a good sign at all for Fed that the match went that far. Nadal would have demolished Lopez in straights.
It is time for him to play with J-Lo
Watson: Can't agree with 'demolish'. Not if Lopez had played Ralph the exact same way he played Federer. Sure, Ralph would have won, and probably in straights - but there wouldn't have been a demolition.
Lopez played amazing and it's a match up of styles. He's going to match up better against Federer than Nadal. Do you guys that make comments actually play the sport?
Yes, of course. It's a better matchup, but Federer is a better clay court player than Lopez, atleast thats what the record says. He is 2nd only to Nadal, and Rafa would eat up every single slice backhand that Feliciano Lopez hit on a clay court.
No question about that. Fed was not even handling Lopez's slice very well at all. Nadal drools when he sees a slice on clay.
yeah but Lopez played well. Does he get no credit for that? Federer's game is going down on Clay more than on any other surface. Records don't mean anything anymore in regards to how he is performing in the present. He no longer has the patience for a clay court grind, anybody can see that in how he's playing.
