Ach, gutted for Tomic, it looked like he'd turned it around there.

He'll be ready to take next year by storm though, an 18 year old in the top 50 is phenomenal!
He's also the luckiest 18 year old - he got more wild cards into tournaments this year than anyone. Most 18 year olds are scratching and clawing their way up the rankings by playing futures and challengers. A win in round 1 of a masters or GS can give them more points than they'd get winning a challenger tourney.

Win the whole thing? It's certainly doable, would love to see him get his 2nd Stockholm trophy.

If he gets past another GOATish former top 5er (JB) he very well will final at worst. Nobody will want him in their Paris draw on that type of roll!

He has only made one final this and was disappointing in it (should know since I was there :-?).
Not a bad chance though I guess.

Heineken in Auckland? His '11 start was a rollercoaster...final there then 1R marathon at AO, leading to 2R collapse, IIRC. It seems a lot longer ago!

IndoPak Express almost derailed by BaggieDelPo...decisive SBer...don't often see a 2-6, 6-2 scoreline in dubs.

no "almost" about it ... IndoPak into the Finals! :)

Top seeds Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi came from behind to reach the If Stockholm Open final on Friday, defeating Cypriot-Argentine duo Marcos Baghdatis and Juan Martin del Potro 2-6, 6-2, 10-8.

they've only met twice before, and Blake's won both times, first in 2006 and most recently in washington leggMason 2011, when Nalbandian was suffering some injuries.

Nalby and JB are both playing well this week, so I expect this to be a good contest.

Did anyone find out what the "If" is in as the tourney sponsor? Maybe it means "Inspirational Finn", AKA Jarko Niemenen!

Seriously the worst level of tennis i have seen on ATP ever!! Except Nalbandial, he played great but had to pull out because of injury. The last 6 matches were crap, unmotivated players with hardly any gameplan and no finesse whatsoever.. :( And these guys make a lot of money?? Of course i liked tennis better with serve and volley 10-15 years ago but still... If this is tennis now I am glad i am not an ATP player at the moment.. so boring.. ZZZZZ
