It's awfully easy to be diplomatic about a personal issue. Surely he isn't that stupid, to feel like he owes something to reporters. He literally focused on it, and rarely spoke about anything tactical or performance-based.
Most people in Asia and Europe do this. 2 forms of it. One, the grandparents live with the grandchildren and parents, so the parents can work, while the grandparents look after the children. And the other form, the Nadals, whereby the only point of moving out is to get married, so if there is no marriage then everybody stays. America tends not to do either of these, and that is probably why America has very poor morals, as young adults are left to their own devices and screw-up.
listen man. I live in Canada. My parents made me find a job when I was 16yo. by 18, I lived with 4 roommates, working and going to school at the same time. My parents, although pretty wealthy, never game me any money, I had to earn it, and I'm very grateful to them ... for not being raised as a spoiled brat.
There is nothing wrong with granddkids looking after their parents or grandparents. I have many Asian friends here and I do understand that.
But please, but don't tell me that 'America has very poor morals', that's just an utter BS.
Most of North Americans (both Canadians and Americans) are simply raised to be independent. We are raised not to lean on anybody.... we are thought to make our own decisions (good or bad) ... we all have our choices in life ... and I like it that way.
I'm not gonna judge Nadal, he can live with whoever and do whatever he wants to, but I simply believe that is not healthy to live with your parents when you are 25 yo. I would understand if Nadal was poor or handicapped, but he is not. One thing that really annoys me is that Nadal is not using his own brain. It's like everyone else is making decisions for him. It simply goes against all of my believes. And, gosh, if that silly uncle of his would disappear somehow I would become Rafa's fan, lol. Tony is so freaking annoying...
So, my point is that I would like to see Rafa being an independent young man and to start thinking with his own head.
