I have just switched from the T-Flash Speedflex 315 to the T-Fight 295 2012 version on the basis of needing a lighter more maneuverable racquet. While I enjoyed the power and spin potential of the 315 I found it tricky to control in doubles which is what I mainly play. Anyway the 295 is a wonderful all court racquet that is excellent on both serves and volleys. I noticed that the TW testers have just posted a glowing review of the TF Rebound Pro which is almost the same as the 295 (2012) except it does not have silicone in the handle.

Greetings from Atlanta

Good people, I just strung up my new 320 vo2 samurais and played yesterday morning. Can't wait to read all of the posts here and get my stringing setup worked out. I string my own sticks with a Gamma x-2. I am accustomed to using BHBR 17 and have put a full bed in one at 56 pounds (reference, that is) and one with OGSM 17 at 58 pounds. Any suggestions on lower tensions are always welcome. I'm glad to join such an enthusiastic group of owners.

tfight 320 vo2max

I have been playing with the tfight 320 for the last 15 hours or so. What a great racket. Over the last few years, I have played with kpro tour, speed 16x19, tfight295(daughters), 4d300, and 4d 200 16x19 all with various amounts of lead and strings and tensions.
I received it with Black Code 17 strung at 57lbs and played with it 5 days after supposedly strung (felt a lot looser). With the first ball hit you notice the incredible amount of power and spin potential. Balls were deep (too deep) and big high bouncing balls from a moderate topspin baseliner. Everyone I played against made remarks to the effect that I am a heavy spin player.
Last night I played again but this time with BHBR17 @60. Now that is spin. WOW. I can see the balls exploding off the claying pinning my partner back, way back. The tighter the better (as in most things). Excellent control, better than the looser BC. Next time 62lbs…very soft string.
The only negative that I noticed (probably my technique), my slice serves were all just long. Slices being my best serves. Second serve topspin incredible and for the first time I have a flat first serve that blows my mind. I lost my slice to get a flat serve. I do not understand.
Highly recommend people try this racket out.

Hi all I am new with the T-Fight and have a question, I have 2 last versio Vo2max 320 that have the silicon injected in the handle, also have another Vo2max 320 red with the Samurai cosmetic that says tour prepared so I guess it also has silicon inyected i the handle. I also got from TW a brand new 325 with the black Samurai cosmetics, this one does not say tour prepared aywhere i the panit job, also is is surprinsily 3 gr ligther than the 3 320 that are exactly the same weigth and the 325 is also just a tad more HH.
So I am suspectig this version of the 325 does not have silicon injected, so I wanted to know before removing the but cap if ayone here knows if this version of the 325 has silicone or not.
Thanks for your help.

I believe the 325 has silicone in the handle as well.

Thanks for your help it is strange that it does ot state it in anywhere in the panit job as in the 320, but if TW says it, it has to be true.

Apparently, the yellow on the butt cap signifies the presence of silicone, if none then no silicone.

I read about the yellow but cap also, but on the paint job my samurai VO2max 320 says tour prepared and the but cap is silver, doest tour prepared means silicon inside the handle for Tecnifibre?

I played SpeedFlex 315 black-white version (with silicone), about 3 months. And I'm not happy with this racquet. Very stiff, no maneuverability, small sweet spot for 100s head. And after this unfortunate experience I have not much confidence of the Tecnifibre racquets

The yellow is for the new racquets, so tour prepared on the samurai means silicone.

Just received my 2x TFights 320 (2011)... I haven't played yet but, they seem lighter to hold than my previous Prince More Control DB MP.

someone better, someone on the contrary. I took the test T-Fight 320 (samurai version) at a local store. Weight-352gr, clear discrepancy between the declared.

Any of you T-Fighters played with a 320 xl 18x20 (old cosmetics)?
In my search of a replacement of mine Kneissl red star thought about these tecnifibres?

I did ! Actually, my first player's racquet ever ! Coming form a Wilson ncode pro team... radical change
Well, tremendous control and power due to extended length, but very hard to handle for me on the single bh side. Fh, volley and serve were accurate and powerful with the good swing.
But definitly, the extended length is not easy for 1hbh ! A bit stiff also, I really appreciated a more flexy racquet later on...

I'm now givin a try with the original 325 :
http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Reviews/T325/T325Review.html (careful : wrong balance, sthg like 8HL instead)
much more flexier, but extended also lol :? But my better technique (I was a beginner with the 320) will help me a bit more maybe ?

thanks Gloumar,
I just bought three of those seduced by the specs, and the awesome cosmetics too :)
I'm mainly baseline player (4/4.5), 1hbh (strongest side)......I hope they work for me!
I will post my impressions later next week.

i played with the tf305 which is 18x19 and specs pretty close to the kneissl red star. i like this frame a lot. it is stiff but with the silicone in the handle shock is muted yet you do still get decent feel. definitely another one for you to check out. i am not sure if the older tf's have the silicone though and as you know the 320 is going to be heavier than the red stars but you do get the xl which the red stars have. one other frame for you to consider is the pk black ace (while you are at it) and the solinco pro 10 xl.

tom4ny,
I know about the weight, the reds are too light to have that surprisingly solid feeling at contact.
Just curious about the silicone thing, how do you do that? how much weight do you increase by doing that?
thanks

I recently purchased a Tfight 320, I really like the racquet so far. I have it strung with TF X1 biphase at 57M 54C. The reason I purchased this racquet was based solely on specs. TW has it listed as Low powered, maybe it’s my string setup but this thing is really powerful. I normally play a low powered Multi or Hybrid. I’m a 4.0 player with very long fast strokes, all spin.

My question is, if I use SPPP 17 in the Mains and Gosen OG 17 in the crosses, what tension would you guys recommend to get the same feel of a Multi strung at 57M 54C?

I demo'd the 320 a couple of weeks ago. It was by far the best racket I've ever used. My groundstrokes were SO much better than anything I've hit with previously. It was only after a couple of hours, I realised that unfrtunately the racket also gave me awful arm pains like no other too. Seemed to only hurt when serving though which was strange.

It's a shame, I love this racket so much and it improved my game tenfold. I just can't handle the pain it brings with it.

Just switched to the T-Fight 325 and I couldn't be happier. I was using the head microgel prestige mid and I wanted more power, but still a dense pattern (control). I also demoed the IG Prestige Midplus and hated it from the start.

I just picked up a couple of TF 305's a few weeks ago as project racquets and now I don't want to put them down. I leaded them up with approx 25g with most weight going under the grip and some at 9 and 3 in the hoop. I had regular opponents scratching their heads as to how I was getting so much depth and power with effortless swings. I had demoed the 325 months back but it was too slow through my service motion at the time when I was coming off some shoulder issues. After getting the 305's up to similar specs I am leaning towards the 325 in the future.

Loving this racquet so far.
I've toned down the power with Rip Control full bed @58.

Anybody else play this racquet with a soft low powered string?
What string and what tension are you using? Are you dropping the tension on the crosses?

I switched to the Tec 320 about 6-7 months ago from the POG mid. I've tried BHBR, black magic, tour bite and NXT. The polys were all strung in the low 50s and the NXT at 57. Did not care for the NXT at all. Of the 3 polys I prefer the tour bite. Excellent spin and provides good pop for a poly. To me the only downside to the tour bite is that there is that initial break in period which is about an hour and after that it's great. I get about 6-7 hours out of it before it breaks, which works for me, you probably don't want a full bed of poly in there much longer than that anyways.

I just added a couple of 320 Vo2 max racquets with the kabuki pj to go along with my 305's. Really enjoying the frame and was surprised because I had demoed it a year ago and was not impressed but the demo must have been flawed when I compare to the ones I have now. I had added a ton of lead to my 305's but the 320 only needed a leather and over grip and 4g of lead at 3 & 9 to get to my comfort zone weight wise.

I am wondering what string set ups other 320 users prefer. I am experimenting with tension in the low to mid 50's with Genesis Hexonic 18g mains and OG sheep 17g crosses (hoping they will not break too easily). I hit with a lot of topspin and can control the power of the frame fine but was looking for more comfort by dropping tension and using the syn gut in the crosses.

^^I tried several setups in my Tec 320: the best was tour bite 16l at 55 mains and 52 crosses. Great power and spin. It will last a good deal longer than the Hexonic 18g as well. I tried Hexonic 1.27mm and it was nice but the Tour bite was more explosive.

Tour Bite also comes in a 1.20mm size if you like a thinner gauge.

Hi Guys....

I have 3x Tecnifibre TFight 320's (new PJ)

Head leather grip, 7g overgrip 8g at 12' strung with Babolat RPM team mains @ 58lb crossed Babolat exel Roland Garros @ 60lb

Just perfection.....!

Thanks for the reply PED. I have been meaning to try tour bite but haven't got around to it. I played a match against a guy using it and he was getting insane amounts of spin. It's definitely on my list when I kill off my current supply of string.

+1 for Tour Bite. I'm using the last gen 325 with tour bite 17 @ 62# and absolutely loving the explosive topspin. Previously, I've used black code and PHT (both 17) at 62# in this stick and the tour bite is a cut above for me.

I just recieved a Tfight 325 Vo2 Max to demo. I popped off the butt cap and found that only one chamber had silicon in it. That seems kind of odd to me. :???: Anyone else think so?

I wonder whether the title of most powerful 95 would go from the Yonex 95D to the TF320 if TW tested it.

Do any feel that the string pattern on the TF 320 is a bit too open as its a very open 16/19 pattern?

I just received a 2012 Tfight 305 VO2 Max to demo. I popped the butt cap off and was surprised to find no silicone in the handle. Why would Tecnifibre market their rackets as having silicone in the handles if they're not going to actually do it?

I'm surprised you would un-staple the buttcap of a demo racquet but i'm also surprised that the silicone claim from TF might be bull...

Bartelby

Yes, well, there might be a small amount compared to what we amateurs put in and it might be further up the shaft.

I have no problem pulling the staples out. I can easily put them back in. And I did get the flashlight out and check the entire shaft. Nothing in there. I'm losing faith in Tecnifibre.

From what I've read here even a little silicone weighs a lot, so it must be hard to balance things if it is added post production.

The only difference is the paintjob. They're still plain jane graphite rackets. No technology what so ever incorporated in these frames.

So both used Silicone in the handle?

Local dealer is clearancing the last model for $100...looking for a steal if they are the same as what I have been demoing.

Does anyone here know the swingweight of the 325 vo2 max xl?

Also, had anyone hit with one recently, if yes how does it play and what does it compare to?

Thanks

Count me in this club. I'm playing with tfight 320 vo2 max. I'm thinking to put it a leather grip and a 3grams at 3 and 9 o'clock. I want to make it more stable.
