Met him..:cry::cry:
He's the local jerk at RoseGarden.
I've hit with more than 4 of his hitting buds.
We hit for a short 10 minute sesh before one, a Sakai, showed up....late of course. Our hitting consisted solely of him serving, and then he rushed net and half or low volleyed a winner away. I stood rooted at the same spot because he said he just "wanted to hit a few serves", and I'd played for over 3 hours already.
He was the electrician at my house.

arche,

How are you going to share kiteboard's back with the guy who asked to see it? Just checking that you aren't sharing a Tennisplayer password.

I have never ever ever logged onto your site under any pass word. Someone has a copy of it from kiteboard I assume and sent it to me.

actually.... regarding that commercial...

John - did you hire some consultant who told you to take that 'serving stance' in the commercial so you look at the audience out of the corner of your eyes?

That looks quite dodgy... take a look at all the political campaign videos, they don't do that.

Supposed to look at audience square in the eyes to gain credibility.

Arche3 - there is science behind this too.

Fail. There is no science behind marketing. Its more psychological than scientific. Its statistical math more than science.
Once again you fail.

But on another note aomeone else mentioned jy does not use one side of his face on video.

please do not forward an unauthorized password to anyone.

Huh? I don't have a password. I've never logged into your website. Nobody sent me a password.

Someone emailed me the video. I am assuming this person got the video from kiteboard. Don't know or don't care where they got it from.

How many takes did it take to get the video right? You came across as a little bit stiff and uncomfortable about being on video.

suresh,

You know I felt pretty relaxed and positive. Most people that know me thought the same. Maybe what is relaxed for me seems tense for others... I tend toward the hyper that is for sure.

We practiced a lot of different sentences with our own cameras until we decided on the ones actually in the commerical and had it filmed then.

The offset camera angle and the tight shot was my idea just trying to change the look compared to the way most people face the camera and stand there with their tennis rackets. A lot of people thought it was great, others, including a few here, didn't. I got compared to Van Gogh self-portrait in another thread...and yeah I am missing my left ear (kidding...)

JohnYandell,

No matter how politely I word this, I think you will take it badly, unfortunately, but I assure you my intention is only to give friendly advice.

I used to teach Brazilian jiujitsu. I created an instructional DVD that was very well received. I was extremely worried about torrent sites and people uploading the information to Youtube and I tried to protect myself the best that I could.

So I understand the desire to protect every ounce of information on your site, but you are taking it to an extreme that is just bad, bad business. It isnt even selfishness, I suspect, as much as it is a naivete about the nature of selling something online in this day and age.

Give more information. Share a bit about the articles. Dont chase people around trying to figure out who is sharing what behind the scenes. Youll never catch those who are doing it maliciously and youll offend those who were doing it in the interest of discussion--the latter being your potential customers.

Im on the fence about joining, particularly because I want to know what Im getting--your site makes it a bit hard to tell.

I wish you the best. Have a beer.

Who did you film in IW this time and did you find anything new?

Andre,

There are also a bunch of free articles and video clips posted in various links in the TW boards. In the Free Tour there are partials of about another 20. There are also a half dozen free high speed video clips.

So basically I agree with you. What I want to convey here is that on a message board with thousands of viewers I don't think it's cool to be posting that you are passing our stuff around without authorization.

Suresh,

We filmed more of the great players at some different angles. It's hard not to film Roger and Rafa and Novak..

Filled out our archives to post Berdych and Sharapova. That weird Gulbis forehand. Was disappointed Raonic never made it on our court or DelPo.

We'll have a lot more spin data that I will eventually be pulling together and I did some tight shots regarding the actual path of the racket and ball around contact--a subject I know you are interested in btw.

Want to see if I can get a better handle on the slight differences in racket path between a T and Wide serve in both courts.

Also focused on the footwork. The differences not only in court movement but in the role of the legs in the various serve stance variations.

It would be very interesting to see if/how the racket path changes for DTL and CC shots, and for the different kinds of serve.
