What a surprise for SHT 308

Yonex are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I swear by them. I'm glad to see a fair (but limited) test. Shows that if people would give them a try they may actually like them. But we know that the Nike and Adidas fanboys wouldn't even consider lowering themselves to try them.

Good finding!.

Yeah, SHT 308 is really the best out there, now the interesting part was the SHT Durable, was it chosen the 2013 shoe of the year or it was the 2013 shoe of the year as new comer?

SHT 308 ROCKS!

So far SHT 308 is the best shoes for me, but it's really underappreciated.
Maybe they have to push their marketing.

Very underrated really, in that article it shows how good it is, if you get that shoe and out Nike or Adidas it becomes the greatest shoe al time, at least I don't see it everywhere, but I started to see these shoes once in a while around here.

I think the SHT 308 is the best shoe. Really well made. I have the black pair, the red pair and the white pair. Can't wait until the black and red style comes out!

Been interested in the shoe, but not sure how they fit... I have a slightly wider foot and the recent breathe 2k1X line and cc feather ii's have been the best fit for my feet so far.

I found the color and the outsole combination in local japan market is different from the rest of world.

What other colors? That black and red that hewitt was wearing, or there is more?

for $70, I'd buy more.

A guy told me to try the SHT durable, it was in that test the 2013 shoe of the year.

Might be a case of separate editions here in Asia. They've even got better racquet bags here...so I'm not sure if it'd be available State side or Europe.

Yonex store on Tingzhou rd. Might go even cheaper once the new colorways come out next couple of weeks or so.

There are serveral Yonex stores though, I'm sure you can find them for that price.

Awesome, I know that area. Are you up for a hit sometime in Taipei? Me and some friends play around that area occasionally.

That's really cheap. Are they always cheaper in Taipei? You won't see prices like that in Hong Kong unless it is on final sale.

Generally the prices tend to be cheaper for yonex products here, as one of the main Yonex factories is here in Taiwan.

They manufacture mostly badminton goods and before this year a lot of the tennis bags. But because of this, the products tend to be cheaper, which I'm not complaining about :)

I'd love to try those shoes, but I'm hesitant about getting past the looks. Don't like the looks at all, really. Although if it has good durability, I may be tempted if they get slightly cheaper on TWE, since Nike's and other brands shoes go on sale pretty quickly.

does anyone know the difference between the SHT308 and the SHT308EX?

SHT 308 looks unwell in picture, but they are just fine if you hold it and look at the real one.
Trust me.

Do you HAVE to play on clay surfaces with the SHT308CL?
It is not impossible. You're just going to destroy it much faster and won't gain anything from the clay outsole. Without wanting to be mean, there's a load of other sale shoes if you can't afford it you know.

Okay. I can get the Black Power Cushion then. Or the Red Power Cushion.

Yes. I have the blue 308 clay shoes, I warmed up on hard court for a tournament once (20 mins or so) and the shoes just grip to the court. It would be really easy to roll an ankle and more like playing in running shoes.

Can I tell you a secret?

I play in running shoes....

I know, I know, it's terrible.. it's wearing already and I bought them less than 3 months ago...

I will buy the Black Power Cushions. 3 of them and recycle use.

I guess they using a softer compound for CL outsole.

There was a noticeable difference between the left and right shoe weights for me, 14.4oz vs. 14.9oz! Have never seen such a weight difference in a pair of shoes. Other than that the build quality seems to be very good.

Haha, they have a good qc in racket weight but not for shoes.

Different design by yonex, herringbone-all court, small rubber tips for clay. Since I play hardcourt tennis a good shock absorbing shoe is necessary, Adidas Galaxy Elites ~ $60 msr is the best shock absorbing shoe from Adidas I have worn, bring them back Adidas, like now, yesterday, last week with larger toe kicker support.

running shoes???how do you manage that

I.... I don't know. My feet don't feel any pain, but I know it's not a good thing. I'm trying to wait and get enough money and buy three pairs and recycle usage. However, after a consensus that the Power Cushions aren't very durable, I may have to go to the 'loafer' Barricades...
I better buy some 'tennis' shoes before I permanently damage my feet. :-|

thanks for that

Sure,

I got my Yonex SHT-308EX in White/Navy , since red appears quite a bit with these shoes I call them red/white/blue colorway, fit like a glove, full foot cushioning, glad I got a pair, I got them one half size larger to fit athletic socks and have a little toe room, I dont want my toes jammimg the front of the shoe on sudden stops-tennis is sudden starts and stops ,tennis shoes are bought 1/2 size larger for toe room, dress shoes are bought to fit, some peeps still cornfuse the two,,lol , black toes nails that fall out from jamming the toes,,"Not for me"-quote -Vin Diesel in Pitch Black
