It would be cool if they did something similar to the Pure Control Swirly.
yes i do, and most of his answers are vague. they have to know now what they are going to produce since i am sure the lead time for manufacture and distribution are months long. but they won't tell us specifically bc they don't want to have us not go out and buy the current line up knowing what is coming down the line.
and what exactly is going to fill that gap?????????? no answer. and what is being done the PS line? no answer...just updates and teasers.
kudos to them for coming and talking to the community though, TW should have a whole area for official manufacturer reps

will it still be called "Roddick"? should it? I mean the guy is retired and no longer relevant in pro tennis, and calling it a "Roddick" will no longer help them sell racquets.
It would make sense if they did a "Pure Drive Tour", but nope they are continuing the Roddick.

Not necessarily, I think Roddick had a distinctive style, a style that surely will be remembered.
That would be a big mistake. Best looking racquet in their lineup now.

There will be a new Pure Storm for 2014. There will also be another new line for 2014 that will be more player/control oriented. Hope that isn't too vague but that's all we can say now.

Please clarify it: more control oriented than an Aero Drive that is? Not more control oriented than a Pure Storm, that would be pretty tight.

It will be a hybrid frame, with power/control/spin in between the Pure Storm and APD/PD.

I have playtested a 18/20 ca300 grams version. EXTREMELY solid! Felt pro-stock. A tad light for my liking and a would love it in 320 grams 16/19 but it´s much, and I mean MUCH more solid then Pure Storms.

So according to this, the new 2014 Pure Storm line is called "Pure Styke", it's thin beamed (guessing PSLTD thin) and the colorway is matte black with orange highlights

I think the thing people really want from this stick is an improvement on the service pace/spin.
Everyone seemed to really like this racquet overall, except on serve.
That needs to be addressed when they update it.

So this supposedly new line of babolat racquets that come out... will they be the pure control or the new pure storm? Will it completely replace the pure storm family? Or will this be the pure control?

This is like Abbott and Costello haha. The pure storm IS the replacement to the pure control and has been since it came out after the pure control was discontinued years ago. The pure storm will be updated in 2014 AND there will be a new line (presumably pictured above in prototype pj) called pure strike (pretty sure with an "I") and will be pretty bold in the paint scheme from what babolat official eluded to in his thread.

The Pure Storm as a name is dead, but the Pure Strike seems to be its replacement with two racquets at 304 and one at 320 and at 280 something.
The Pure Control is 95, not 98 like the Strike or like it used to be.
The Babolat Official all but confirmed the split into Strike and Control but the detail comes from other posters who may or may not be right.

Pure strike is the aero storm replacement, pure control is te pure storm which he implied would remain more or less similar as before.

That could be right, but some people indicate the control will be 95 and the strike 98, but I dont hink he bit on that issue.
The reality is that the aerostorm line is dead and the storm name is dead. What they end up with in terms of specs depends on who you believe.
