What about the difference between Arthur Ashe Day session and Night Session?
Does the night session also incorporate access during the day or afternoon?
I'm going to be in US for the next 3 weeks and I just remembered US Open was going on so I thought of taking advantage of the opportunity ...

What do you recommend?
A ticket just for Night Session and being limited to just 2-3 matches but being in one of the most mythical tennis sessions (US Open night sessions) or a Day Session ticket?

there are 2 good ways to see a match in AA. buy very expensive seats in or below the lux boxes or see an epic match where the crowd is really into it.
for regular seats(above lux box), AAS is overrated. the space on the court coupled with the press area and the lux boxes make it very difficult to enjoy a match. you feel like you are away from the action. there are several smaller venues that are great and close to the action: Armstrong, Grandstand and ct17.
many like the tiny courts where you are so close you really feel the speed of the game.
if you are planning on going to AA in the early rounds, be prepared to be disappointed.

Why is that?
(So apart from this it's better to disregard the AAS and focus on the other ones where you're much closer to the action? )

Will go to flushing meadows this friday, and already have a ticket. No tickets for saturday though, and ground pass costs $105 if ordered in the internet. Will it be cheaper if you buy it in the Stadium itself ?

In Armstrong, the seats under the south scoreboard, aka only shade in armstrong, are reserved and the ushers will block you unless you're really lucky.

Yep - skip the small bags / purses - there are separate lines for people without bags.
From my USTA US Open Corporate Hospitality flyer, page 2, Security Procedures:
"6. Speed lines for those fans without bags will be available at all gates."

For this Saturday, Aug 31st, I have tickets for the night session at AA.
1. Can I get into the grounds in the morning session with my AA Night session ticket? Please advise.
2. When do the day session matches finish? I might be reaching there at around noon or 1 pm on Saturday. Wondering if it's worth it to buy the grounds pass if the day session matches finish off by 3/4 pm.
3. Can I buy grounds pass or Ashe pass upon reaching there? Hope it's cheaper than online ($100+).

Your night ticket only gets you in at night. If the day session in Ashe runs long, you'll be herded outside the gate until it ends. Days sessions matches can sometimes run into overlapping with night matches. Whether you can buy a grounds pass or Ashe ticket when you get there depends on whether they've sold out, which may or may not happen.

Night session tickets get you in from 4pm
Do not bring a bag. You'll get in in no time. Bring a bag, wait a long time.
We were also allowed to bring plastic bottled water in, and I think if you have a sandwich or something that is out and visible, you can walk right in.
The food service at the Tennis Center is ABYSMAL, AWFUL, incredibly slow and overpriced. We waited 30 minutes to get a hamburger. People were getting really frustrated. Eat a big breakfast before going, and maybe take a quick run outside to the push cart vendors (get stamped for re-entry) in the park to get some cheap food...it may take 20 minutes, but that's not as long you'll wait online inside the center at the main food mall.
