Boy the pj is... well, too glossy for my taste. The black and metallic red makes it look like some kind of candy foil wrapper over a racket. I have heard glossy paint is supposed to make the racket feel less flexible, which is not something I am looking for.

Not my cup of tea, but may be some of you out there would like it. I rather have Wilson do a matt black finish with very subtle red accent on it. Even if they are selling at regular retail, I would pick up the regular ver pj instead.

Glossy paint contributes no change to a racquet's stiffness.

On a related note, I do think that the same strings in different colors play/feel differently. Example: Prince Original Synthetic gold vs. white are not the same.

Yes, it is true regarding strings. Not sure about frames, though.

With frames, it is just paint on the outside surface. With strings, the color permeates throughout the string and different chemicals are used to make the different colors.
