so I just noticed that Nole is missing from both the Queens and Gerry Weber draws

looked at his website, next scheduled tourney? Wimbledon

dafuq, he's not even gonna play a small warmup tourney before Wimby to get some matches under his belt to prepare him for the title defense?

i see why they call him Djesus

I agree this is strange.


I'd say his game is 100% right now, its the mentality he has to work on. Not winning RG was a huge blow, I bet he just wants some time off to chill out.

Perhaps he's so emotionally damaged from what will likely be his best, last chance to win the #FrenchOpen that he's giving himself the space to heal and reflect. It's okay to cry during these times.

He hasn't confirmed Boodles exibition yet. How come that you as tennis fan and someone who is from UK know little about Boodles ?. Beautiful tennis club, beautful courts of Stoke Park.

When it was the two week break I never thought it was a big deal, but with the third week it definitely seems like a strange choice, but I think he's good enough that he can play his way into form during the first week.

Would prefer Novak playing a warm up tournament, like he did before the AO this year.
I suppose if it aint broke, don't fix it, but still think it is not the best strategy, even as a devout NoleFam member.

Djokovic hasn't played a grass court warm up event in years. He obviously has ideal preparations for grass, since the last couple of years Wimbledon has been a good slam for him. I don't think he would want to change it up, even with the addition of an extra week.

He is obviously getting himself ready for the defense of his Wimbledon championship, and he knows the world is waiting to see how he responds to what happened in Paris. He will have his game face on. It should be a great event this year again.

yes yes this is highly disturbing with only few Exos. but then Novak has NO chance to repeat at Wimby. because when a Pro loses a match that big as French open final after defeating his nemesis in the quarters,,,they don't recover from that for like 6 month......

It can be applied to Nadal only. He's recovering out of tour for 6 months every now and then.

the way many of you are talking it sounds like you took djokovics french open loss harder than he has. im sure hes moved on by now, thats what champions do..

Nothing new. He hasn't played any grass warm-up events since 2010 Queens, 5 years ago now. He still went on to win 2 Wimbledon titles (2011 and 2014).

He often plays a couple of friendly matches at the Boodles, a grass exho event a few miles from London, in the week before Wimbledon.

Nole reached three of the last four Wimby finals and won two of them. It seems he doesn't need warm up events.

Wimbledon is not like Roland Garros,
when the odd makers say Djokovic is the favorite, he is really the favorite whether or not he plays any other tournament before he plays at Wimbledon.

This, not the slightest cause for concern. Not like he needs to adjust his game much anyway in the way that Rafa has to.

The grass exo season is brief and tightly packed. If they can't stack enough of the Deutsche marks, Nadal will settle for the British pounds down the season~!~:lol:

No, what I mean is Right now Novak is so out of focus and mentally fragile due to the loss at the French open,,,,he won't recover mentally for 6 month. so he is None factor at Wimby and US open both.

#Novak is a huge favorite to win #Wimbledon. Why would he need to play a warm-up? #Boris will have him grass-ready.

Contrary to anyone that dislike's Nadal's belief, everything isn't about him :)
I simply don't enjoy Novak enough to want to see him win everything with no competition. The FO final was a long time coming.
