Fresh off his first ever ATP main draw match win in Shanghai, Stefanos does the hard work to qualify in Antwerp and then back it up with his first two-win main draw match streak, defeating both Cuevas and Karlovic to advance to the QFs and will face top seed Goffin on Friday.
And looks like now he told defending/home champion to tsit the hell down too. Way to go!

P.S: still haven't had the time to watch a match this week, except Dimitrov-Janowitcz.

Second consecutive Challenger final in Morocco for the Greek world #1 junior ranking and ready to crack the top 200 with a win in the Casablanca final tomorrow vs fellow teen Maxime Janvier.

Here's some interesting facts to know about the rising teen star:

He shares a birthday (August 12) with a tennis great of Greek heritage and deadly ohbh, one Petros Sampras. He also has a younger (16) brother named Petros.

His coaches growing up have been his father Apostolos and his Russian-born mother Julija Salnikova, who reached WTA #194 in 1980 and played Fed Cup for Russia. His maternal grandfather was Russian soccer great Sergei Salnikov (Olympic gold medal winner in 1956).

He has won 5 Futures titles on clay and HC in the last 12 months, with his biggest win coming earlier this week vs Umag finalist Andrej Martin.

His biggest nemesis in juniors competition this year has been Denis Shapovalov, also the son of a Russian pro mother. Shapo beat him at RG (QF) and Wimby (SF). Between the two of them, the future of the ohbh may continue.

Stay tuned for updates...his stated goal is to crack the top 200 (almost done) and reach qualifying level for AO'17 (a work in progress).
All cool!

Bring these young kids on, keep em going.

I'd love to see more like them. I've had enough of all these 30 somethings who are never going to win anything big, and most of the guys in their later 20s are not much better - if at all...

Haha^ Easy malaka^. He is the first male from the Grrick Islands to crack the top hundred. Grrreek males have been in the top ten before....but because of Greek diaspora we have Grricks from other places like Petros sampras, niko kyrgios, mark filapoussis and marko baghdatis (also From kypros and also from liban) who all played a nice game of the tennis.

Now, this kid stefanos Tzazikisauce....cmon, why is he not working at Socrates' Diner?
And where did he get the idea to use only one hand on the backhand? And why he does not bring the back foot up on the serve for a pinpoint? This boy really thinks out of the box -- he keeps approaching down the line with his forehand to the Gooffin' (skinny blond) guy's backhand. Genius genius genius... to imitate Pete Sampras.

I do not need the Komboloi beads for this kid stafanos tzazizkisauce!

I'm almost certain there have been many Greeks who were frat boys during their college days before cracking the top 100...maybe even #1 if JMac or Jimbo pledged at Standford or UCLA.

Just looked at his game from a technical angle and I'm not sure his ceiling is very high. Backhand is technically flawed, serve motion is pretty stiff, movement and court positioning aren't great and volleys aren't up to standard either.

Really a combination of below average movement and a below average backhand are really gonna bite him in the butt if he doesn't improve those.

His topspin OHBH is actually quite solid from what I've seen. The slice is pretty atrocious (he doesn't change his grip) but I'd take that over the Feli Lopez / Steve Johnson approach.

Also moves pretty well for a 6'4 man. Better than Raonic but not as well as Zverev for example. I actually think the serve could use some work. He's really struggled to hold at the ATP level. Goffin and Schwartzman ate up his 2nd serve for breakfast

Tsexi Tsitsi stunned Gasquet 63 64 in Doha. Tsexi Tsitsi tsexi forehand down the line tsunami left Gasquet in tatters.

I tsaw a replay of hits match vertsuts Florian. Tsexi Tsitsi its tsuch a fighter. He hats the touch, the feel, the foot work and the power. Love hits tsexi backhandts too. He likets to take the ballts early.

He'll continue to improve and be a threat in the yearts to come.

Have been keeping an eye on Tsitsipas since last year. Hope he is the next future no.1 material. He's a tall guy at 6'4" but not a typical power player. Rather, he's an all rounder. Would be following his progress this year closely.

I watched highlights of his match yesterday, and he vaguely reminds me of an older player - Stich maybe? Am I crazy?
Kind of puts a young Federer to shame so who do you compare him too? Most impressive player for only 19 years old with possibly a perfect tennis build in that he's quite light for his height, but still gobs of power.:p
