yonex dr 98 length

Hello TW,
Could you please measure some of your blue and lime dr 98 310g racquets and tell me if they are exactly 69 cm or about 68,5-68,6 cm? This is quite disturbing topic because many sources tell me different specs and I would like to settle this. I called Yonex and they told me all racquets are same length and different length is impossible to meet. (they couldnt actually tell me how long it should be though... haha). Many shops in my country confirm 69 cm theory. Tennis warehouse europe on the other hand confirms 27 inches (68,58cm)...
And we are talking about all the racquets available in those specific shops. So if all shops were telling the truth then we have whole batches of different dr 98's. 0.4cm is a lot.

I dont care if the racquets were ment to be around 68,6cm or 69 cm. I've played with dr 98 69 cm and I totally love it. I just want to make sure when i buy another dr, will it most likely be 27 inches or 69 cm.

Cheers

new ezones are supposed to be exactly 27 inches. My friend's duel g 310g was 69 cm. Do you have duel g 310 or 330?

Most U.S. places measure racquets in inches, which means that anything under .5cm is likely to get gobbled up by rounding gremlins. The cm reference on U.S. sites is likely an automatic conversion from inches. This is why it says "27in/68,58cm." You'll see manufacturers representing this conversion as 68,6 or (creatively) 68,5. For what its worth, every distributor in the USA I've seen represents these racquets as 27" like TW.

I measure my racquets with a yard stick that is marked in big bulky inches. There is no way I would notice something below .2 inches. For accuracy, it might be nice if we all measured in centimeters (or what about millimeters where nearly every racquet would be a different length - haha), but I'm certainly okay with Yonex and TW listing this as 27". The fact that Yonex lists it as 27" on their website and said all DR 98s are the same length likely means the next one you order will be similar to what you have.

all you said makes sense and thats how it should work. i said before that i don't care how long is the racquet unless it is a consistent result. However few shops told me different lengths (maybe some of them where rounding up and didn't care to measure it properly) . To spice up things, many dr users tell me different lengths and from what I've heard there are some yonex lines that are longer or shorter (for example dr 98 as a 69 cm and new ezone as a 68,5cm) If yonex makes their racquets 69 cm and mark them as 27 inches. I am totally OKAY with that. It could be their style. But if they launch a product, make some of them 68,5 cm and then after a year decide to change their way of understanding how long its 27 inches then well..its mean ;p stick to the one length guys !

I created the thread to get a definitive answer how long is 27 inches in dr 98 ;p maybe yonex was just bragging with their "spec control" and i got 0.5 cm longer racquet that I can return to a shop ?

I measured in cm this time using a tailor’s tape and its 68.6 as best as I can tell. Most certainly under 69 with a clear visible difference and it is very consistent between the 3 frames i have. I cannot explain why someone is telling you 69cm other then they simply round up.

Mine dr 98 definitely has 69 cm ;) is it a mistake then? If you look up dr 98 YouTube review Andy confirmed his dr was also longer than other standard racquets however didnt say exact numbers.
