DANIIL MEDVEDEV: Yeah, I don't remember everything. Well, I congratulated him. He said congrats to me for my week, that I'm amazing player. I basically said he's also an amazing player (smiling).
Then I said what I think is they have a great contest between three of them, and I wished him luck to be one of the three, to be better, yeah. Because I do think they have a great contest, and it's fun to watch.

We should acknowledge though that each/all of the Big 3 have an obsession at this point with being the Slam record holder. This is an obsession you could only have from having dedicated what they have over the last 15-20 years to their craft and to the success they've each had. So it's actually very easy to understand why these guys continue to excel.
Compare this to young guys who probably relax after a Masters win or good Slam run. Roger, Rafa and Nole are probably already planning a training regimen to put themselves in the best position to contend for the next Slam. This factor, the motivation factor, is a BIG reason why the younger generation looks as pathetic as it has.

Because Nadal looked injured in the end, I think Med was asking about Rafa's knees or something like that. And Nadal replied 'all good my brother'
I am surprised people are not talking about Nadal's knees giving out in the 5th set. Nadal really couldn't bend in the end. It was painfully obvious
