Not sure whether there's already a thread about these, but just watched the review from "Tennis Spin"

Thoughts...?

To me, the white one seems like a Tecnifibre TFight 305 XTC, or as they said a Babolat Pure Strike 16x19.

If it's a softer Pure Strike with a better touch... that sounds pretty good.

Not sure why but they usually don't address the stiffness/flex of the racquets they are testing. Didn't address it for these Solincos as well.
I think they tend to prefer stiffer racquet. He mentioned he really liked the 71 RA Wilson Burn.
Overall, I enjoy their content.

First Babolat, then Technifobre, then Diadem and now Solinco. Seems every string maker, once they get high in their britches wants to expands into the racket market.

Not sure why since for the most part the money is in the replaceables (strings, over grips).

Of course the biggest problem the poly craze brought about was non-breaking strings for rec players. I know guys (and gals) that almost never change their poly strings. Maybe releasing stiff frames that break these strings is the string makers answer to that conundrum.

The stiffness on the white is around 65 and the stiffness on the black is 69.

I tried their protocol racquet because they won me over with their strings but it was nothing special. I hit with their new 100 and now I cant wait for the release, ended up buying a pretty used demo to hold me over

I tested the white racket and I feel its very similar to a v7 blade without the Wilson Clash Flex Technology. I didn't mind the slightly stiffer feel. It did seem to have a tad more juice than a Blade typically does. I loved the all white PJ but thats just due to it being a prototype.

I’ve got both white and black prototypes from Solinco. White one is great, but the black racket prototype is a game changer. Stable, good control and good pop. Comfortable.

Agreed, feels so good to hit with this thing! I was always willing to overlook some soreness with the PD due to the shots I was able to hit but this black prototype is on another level! you get it all with no pain (for me at least).

Solinco doesn't hide there prototypes . They state the flex and swingweight on paperwork when we get the sticks . Amazing company love there RnD.
Absolutely agree. The one downside to these racquets/prototypes is that the grips are massive. I got 4 1/4 ‘s and they feel really big.

I would totally agree with this as well. I'm a true 4 1/4 and this thing (without overgrip) felt like it felt snug already without an overgrip. When one was added (wilson pro) I felt like I was in middling territory of a quarter and 3/8ths.

Any information on release date or availability?
I am interested in trying both prototypes but Solinco racquets are not easy to find.

Someone had said that they were already released on this forum but I haven’t seen them and the website hasn’t been updated.

They’re always slow to update their site but the frames have been pretty available. I’ve brought in several on orders. Sometimes stock is low bc there’s intermittent supply chain issues just like everyone.

I understand the current supply chain issues. Nearly everything is affected. That said, I have not seen anything on their website or Facebook page. Did you contact them them directly to order the new racquets?
It is surprising that there is not more publicity directly from the company for a new racquet release. I am interested to try one when they appear.

I have an account with Solinco and I get email updates on inventory, new products, etc. I haven’t seen anything on the finished product of the prototype racquets that I got many months ago. WTA Tour player Marina Melnikova is still using the white prototype frame, I’m sure if the finished product was out she’d be using it.

Yeah I don't know if they have a final cosmetic, etc. yet, but I haven't had any restrictions or difficulties bringing the white or black ones in for people in recent months.

I have been in touch w them. While they are responsive, I have not been able to get a racquet delivered yet. They have to “check inventory” which seems perpetually out of stock. Manufacturing/delivery delays probably contribute. To date no answers in response to questions about general availability, etc. Curious to see the finished products and distribution plans. The racquets/specs look good.

Crossing my fingers the final look won’t stray too far from this. Blacked out look is so sweet.

yup...that would be nice...but then again it would make the pre-release ones less special. lol

I have added some weight to it and am trying to figure out the strings and tension on this. Not so sure these will work out for me. If they do, then I'll match the other two and string them up...been looking for a racquet that is easy to play with when I'm not feeling my best.

Solinco updated their Facebook and Instagram pages with a “Coming Soon” post for both racquets. It looks like at least the paint resembles the prototypes with white for 98 and black for the 100.

Hit with the Whiteout 98 for the first time yesterday. Feels stable on my OHBH and the frame has some nice, crisp feel. I like it that the frame is foam filled.
nice. I haven't tried the foam filled one but the previous prototype model. I can imagine the foam helped. I added a little silicone to it.

1. Solinco Whiteout 305 compared to Head Graphene 360+ Speed MP? Not the specs, but the playability (Control, Power, Stability, Comfort, Touch/Feel, Groundstrokes, Serve, Sweet Spot/Zone).

2. The Whiteout will come in two versions (290 and 305) with weights (Butt Cap) to adjust. So, does the 290 with the heaviest weight (if its 5, 10 and 15 g) play like the 305 with the lightest or without?

Thanks in advance.
