For me it's around 10-15 hours depending of the poly used. I used to mark my sticks to know the exactual time of playing LOL. Now, I just know by how the string feels that it's dead and I cut it out (even/especially if it's not broke!).

Okay so I see that the "changing the grip" part is easy but what about the staples? The buttcap sits inside or outside of the handle? Does it matter? All I have to do is staple the buttcap with the handle? There's no risk of damaging the racquet? Thanks again, -firestarter
