Congratulations to Federer on his 77th Singles Title.

52 of his titles have come on hard, 13 of his titles have come on grass, and 10 have come on clay.

Federer is the only man in history to win 10 titles on hard, grass, and clay.

I am thinking not, as there have only been 5 players who have even won 10 titles on hard and clay - Connors, Lendl, Federer, Nastase, and Nadal. Of course, it is hard to compare across eras as carpet is listed as the surface for many tournaments that today would be considered hard court.

Excuse me? Do you mean to say that Connors, Lendl, Nastase, and Nadal also won at least 10 titles each on hardcourt, grass, and clay? In what universe?

For carpet, it sure was a different surface before. Nowadays, you can still distinguish between indoor HC and outdoor HC, though, as playing conditions are different (in which case Federer would be 10/10/10/10).

Goes to show just how f**ked the grass season is on the ATPTour when the co-GOAT on grass(for Open Era at least) only has 13 titles to his name.

They need to make this surface relevant again with something non-Wimbledon.

And Sampras only has 9, which is just incredible.

Edit: sorry, he won Manchester way back in '90, so he gets to 10. But still. Talk about a dismal grass 'season'. :(

Do you have the winning % of tournaments on each surface ? i.e no. of HC tournaments won / HC tournaments entered etc.

In fact, it's actually 10/10/10/10/10 with clay/grass/fast outdoor hard/slow outdoor hard/indoor hard.

Nadal hasn't even accomplished 1/1/1/1/1 and never will

edit: looks like he did win 1 indoor tournament a decade ago. Still pathetic.

While we're at it, why don't we make it clay/grass/fast outdoor hard/medium outdoor hard/slow outdoor hard/indoor hard. So it's 10/10/10/10/10/10

I agree. Why so many hardcourt tournaments and so few on grass?? What's so special about hc that more than half of the tournaments need to be played on the surface? They should change the schedule a bit so that there's more time in between RG and wimbledon so that they can play a M1000 on grass (or AT LEAST a 500), get rid of Paris or Miami/IW
