Man, I never realised how fantastic Roche's backhand was. Not many players would be able to high-ball him off the court on his backhand side if it's like that all the time.

Also, that was a very good final - high quality tennis indeed from both players for the most part.

Congrats to the champ! Amazing tournament from both players but Ferrer showed why he's consistant top #5 player. I thought his win over Verdasco in the Semi was especially telling. Just too strong and consistant!

I would LOVE to see him win the AO, but I think Djoker has his number..

(he's a good chance against the rest (maybe not Roger?), actually, but he seems to match up poorly to Novak for some reason)

Last time they played, he breadsticked Novak. Not saying he'll beat him here, but who knows. He needs a good draw tho. I could see him upsetting one of the big four (especially Rafa or Andy) but not 2 or 3. So he should get a guy like Tsonga to make the semis and then maybe some big surprise in the final, but doesn't look very likely. Hope he can do something this year tho. Perhaps the French Open?

Frantisek Cermak, who lost in the doubles final, said that from the players perspective, this tournament now has the best facilities on the ATP tour.

I've seen him play live in Davis cup. He's a very nice player indeed. He would be a top player if it wasn't for his size.
