I wasn't. I think you missed my point. I was asking the poster who thought Murray was always so lucky, how come this supposed good luck didn't net him a Slam far sooner than it did?

While I dont agree with the stance he is a lucky player I dont think that indicates he is an unlucky one either. Clijsters for instance lost her first 4 slam finals but in hindsight was probably one of the luckiest players in recent memory, winning 4 slams with her poor womens Capraiti game, and vulturing the weak WTA tour of 09-2011, picking up the scraps left when Serena was out injured or had a meltdown (09 U.S Open). She was even lucky to reach most of those early finals with easy draws, and the Williams absent from the field in 2 of them.

Berdych wins 6-3, 7-6. Not much in it, but Berdych was hitting with greater depth on both sides and making less errors.

woow Stepanek is completely messing with Murray's head. You can easily see that Murray is the much better tennis player though, I'd be surprised if Murray doesn't figure a way out of this.

Stepanek is superior to Murray. Told you guys he lucked he way to a slam.

Murray smashing a racket and and actin like a lil bytch on court. Nothing new here. It's also appalling that Murray smashed his racket between serves and wastes time getting a new one and he doesn't get a warning. Tsonga was right.

He didn't "smash his racquet" between serves. It was between serve-points.

I had forgotten that Stepanek is 33. Nice to see some of the old men having a good run so far at this tournament.

Does anyone else not get worried when Murray finds himself behind in a match? I don't get nervous for him until his opponent has a match point.

Good win.

Has he ever come back vs someone useful in a tournament that matters (Masters etc.)? Genuine question.

Fed would not have had the career he has if Djokovic was born 5 years earlier.

As sure as hell Djokovic ain't taking 5 majors away from peak Federer:)

Djokovic is pretty much 50/50 against a 31-year old Federer. Put in a 25-year old Federer instead and check the result.

Either Murray is crap or he is just very lucky. And if his 'crapness' lets him down so often in the most important matches, then he can't be all that 'lucky' can he?

You can't have it both ways!

Well you can be unlucky enough to be crap but that's a different type of luck. you can get lucky enough with draws that even being crap you can make a final. but look Murray is not crap so it doesn't matter lol.

You're absolutely right.

Some of his Wikipedia entries might have different names for the losing finalist

(I say this as someone who's actually quite fond of Novak ;))

I swear the commentary for the Federer/Cilic match has consisted of little more than "Oh he's missed it!" on loop.
