Anyone have a picture or specs of the new 2019 blade? i talked to a wilson rep and they said that one will be released later this year, i imagine before the US Open. any news?
Ugh, the Clash PJ is terrible. Something about it makes it look like a counterfeit frameApparently it'll look like the clash but with green instead of red.
i think the bold is hands-down the worst paintThe clash is by far the worst pj wilson is currently selling. if the balde will resemble the clash in any way i feel it will take a big hit in sales and use, i wasnt a fan of the countervail however the pj was great especially the pro stock gloss, many will switch to another frame like the ezone 98 whos paint is great, along with being a great racquet. wilson was doing great, but it seems like theyre becoming lazy with their pj.

blue ezone paint is one of my favorites
I agree a lot of intermediate and advanced players will continue to use the blade, or any racquet really, based off of its play and feel, but also there is a market out there where people are buying racquets almost entirely off of its PJ, I even know advanced players who use a racquet because quote on quote "dude the paint is sick on this racquet" lolI don't love the Clash pj, but it's growing on me over time, and I don't expect that the new Blade pj will really make a difference in sales. I think a lot of people outside of these forums don't care as much about pj's, especially once pros start using the new pj. Additionally, the new Blade shouldn't have CV, and that should be enough to get most of the Bade fans on TT to buy the new version, since they all seem to have hated CV so much.
I have a hard time believing that an "advanced player" would care, but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that there are idiots out there who are superficial enough to let PJ's dictate what gear they use.I agree a lot of intermediate and advanced players will continue to use the blade, or any racquet really, based off of its play and feel, but also there is a market out there where people are buying racquets almost entirely off of its PJ, I even know advanced players who use a racquet because quote on quote "dude the paint is sick on this racquet" lol
Definitely a few of them out there... I know people who simply don’t care what they use they’re good with anything and don’t mind any racquet, unless it’s a Walmart racquet lol, and that’s the level everyone wants to be atI have a hard time believing that an "advanced player" would care, but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that there are idiots out there who are superficial enough to let PJ's dictate what gear they use.
Artist’s impression of said Twin Blade:I hear the new one will be a Twin Blade - a revolutionary double-beamed racquet to follow the Clash.
hey, i resemble that comment!there are idiots out there who are superficial enough to let PJ's dictate what gear they use.
Yep me included, latest and greatest, man, lol. Even so, I’m still using my ‘13 Bladethere are idiots out there who are superficial enough to let PJ's dictate what gear they use.
I don't think that an exact date has been floated, but August is a pretty sure thing at this point. No release date for the new blade yet? I noticed TW put the current blade lineup on clearance.
lots of people. probably nothing too drastic. MAYBE string spacing.. MAYBE removing CVOk who cares about color what is different
334sw on 18x20 (If QC is on target)
