Angie was playing well, very quick at the net, Halep was practically playing singles with a statistician.
BMS and Iga on the other hand were playing really well together.
Did you notice that virtually all play doubles here? must be the olympics.
Does Sara Sorribes Tormo have the most disturbing grunt in the WTA?
Would love to see Serena/Venus one last time.
Who would put then on US team?It would be an absolute crime for that team to play over deserving US teams.
We can make a separate thread (if one doesn't exist yet), but I can think of quite a few who are more annoying (Halep, Azarenka)Does Sara Sorribes Tormo have the most disturbing grunt in the WTA?
Why Sofia? BMS/Melichar would do much betterSofia/BMS & Melichar/TBD.
Why Sofia? BMS/Melichar would do much better
There you go, by the end of the day you have half a dozenOnly one 3-setter so far today, Stojanovic over Putintseva.
It would be an absolute crime for that team to play over deserving US teams.
Who's playing with Melichar? Only 2 dubs per country and 6 players. I would say Serena/Venus has better chance for medal than Melichar and let's say Brady. I think BMS will play with Kenin.
Serena is currently #416 in doubles, Venus is N/A. Won’t be an issue.
Fortunately they can’t play based on the updated qualifying system.

68 weeks. Barty is 10th in the number of weeks at 1st position in WTA singles rankings, of the active female tennis players spent more weeks in 1st place only Serena (319). Of the female tennis players in the range of 0-2 winning grandslams, only Wozniacki (71) spent a longer time in 1st place. How many weeks at number 1 for Barty now?
She's probably eclipsing all-time greats at this point solely because of covid.
Ana Konjuh is another up and comer in the WTA ranks. If she wins the next round she will be the real deal! Maybe, lots of WCs for many upcoming tournaments too.
