2021 Wimbledon is Fed’s LAST chance.

Rosewall won his last Slam at 37. And tennis is so much more physically demanding than back then. Murray won a 250, yes, but we're 3 years after his first comeback and he's still not back in the top 100. I don't say that Federer can't win a 250. I say Federer cannot win a Grand Slam anymore.

Let’s wait and see. Perhaps he wont win a 250 either.

I don’t understand the rush to make a prediction that at best will turn out to be facile and at worst blow up in one’s face, assuming one is neutral about the player to begin with.

That was the gist of reply to Service Ace as well.

He's 2 years, 2 knee surgeries, 18 months off from removed from 2019.

“It’s amazing. I still cannot believe it because for me, I said yesterday playing him was a dream. But of course beating him is another level,” Andujar told ATPTour.com.

Aura bought Roger Federer a set yesterday. That aura will fade very fast. Soon every player will be walking on court confident that if they don't need to do anything special to win. That's when the trouble will start.
Right now he is playing like a dangerous world no. 112. He's got his work cut out becoming a dangerous world no. 50 nevermind thinking about slams.

I have been wrong before, I can deal with that. I don't really understand the obsession with the chances at winning and I think it just takes enjoyment of the tennis away.

Playing Fed will always feel different for players than other dudes, that's not really gonna change, but the fear will go quite quickly yeah. Maybe top players will be more afraid of losing, but I think the mental aspect of it all will be negligible.

I dont do predictions in general. They reflect a kind of wishful thinking anyway.

Far more honest to say, just as an example, ‘I hate that mug Murray’s face and I wish his career ends soon in bitter disappointment‘

I've been watching tennis for quite a while and the same thing happens to them all. McEnroe, Sampras, Lendl ... once the fear has gone, the respect goes too, these lesser players can't wait to take that scalp.
Then that shock, the first time he scheduled on an outside court.
He has one more tournament to pull himself together.

It'd be probably the most shocking thing if he won Wimbledon after looking at Geneva I dunno how on earth you can get into a slam winning form (7 bo5 sets) and he hasn't faced any top players yet let alone Djokovic or Nadal

this ain't 2017 when he came into Wimbledon full of confidence and top level match play

if he does it, full props but I don't see it. 2019 was his best chance

What about 2022?

This is wrong. He'll have a better chance at 2022 Wimbledon because this year he is very out of match practise / form. Federer fans should treat this year as him trying to get back in form for 2022.
I agree, by 2022 he will be in top form but won't reach his absolute peak till 2023/2024.
